Mustang....you bring up an interesting point.......What are the expectations........Having seen this program over the last 50 years myself go from winning 2 games a year.....then go to the TC era where slow down produced wins.......then the BS era where uptempo and running produced the first district title and a lot of winning seasons.....to the WS era that produced regional contenders and a trip to Rupp....to now...........I mean are the Mustang faithful looking at this as an abberation season because lets face it not to sound arrogant but................looking at the development in this program Deming and Augusta would be teams that are expected to be beaten soundly

Jeremy Connor is becoming an instant impact player for the Breds........ Played frosh year at Connor and played JV last year for the Breds.

In the original NCC thread I told you about Jeremy Connor (that is or not er). He is a pure shooter and is Jim Connor's grandson. Obviously he will not have that kind of performance every night but he can shoot. And he does shoot much better than his father ever shot about shooting!!!!!!!!!!:D

I agree. This is crazy. I mean in some districts your 4 seed is better than the 1 seed in the opposite district. Lets go back to crossing the districts

jdg937 Sticky has a right to make observations.........relax he makes the same ones of coaches in other threads. Nothing wrong with that at all. As he pointed out it ended up working in Bellevue's favor anyway. Besides I have yet to meet any body who coached a perfect game!!!!!!!!!

Yeah the interference was not on the guy who intercepted it but the receiver was clearly drilled way before the ball got their. However.........what a classic HS football game. Both teams hit hard and often. Bellevue's change on defense really confused Dayton the first half....although the 2nd half Dayton made great adjustments. I agree about the officiating.....that was the worst I have seen in years for both teams. Classy game and classy fans and players afterwards. A lot of mutual respect by both teams. Bellevue's and Dayton's defenses both made several 4th down key stops in this one. Ricky Buckler ran great and hard and showed why he is such a tough running back. Ditto for #4 from Dayton.

Hurricane is right on about this. The development is raising property value which means less money from the state and causing less students since as he said IF you have kids they will probably go private......but the majority of people moving into these don't have a whole lot of kids to raise. This is a major issue between cities and schools. It helps the cities but has a tremendously negative impact on the school districts. Also tax breaks for the developers means no tax money for the schools on this property. This could probably take on a whole nother thread for a separate topic if people want to discuss this.

Bellevue has shown nothing in the last 3 games that makes me think the outcome will be any different this time around.

OK elite programs: Highlands Beechwood NCC CovCath These programs have done it over the years and it different eras. This year maybe the term should be who has played at or above their potential............For example Dayton......you can't say an elite program but you can say an "elite" season. Two years ago Bellevue had an "elite" season. Last year I feel Dayton had an "elite" season as well. Ludlow has had 2 elite seasons in the past 4 years. None of these are elite programs as they tend to "fall quickly" due to being such small schools and the cyclical nature of the talent. Also I feel Ryle had an "elite" season last year but they are not an elite program.

Did Brossart and Bracken get to play?

Bellevue starts all games at 7:30

Dominated from the get go? That is a little strong. Beechwood led 14 - 8 with around 9 minutes to go in the half. Bellevue moved the ball decently throughout the first half. The turnovers that Bellevue commits (which they have done all year) is what keeps them from being able to compete against above average to great teams. Beechwood is by far the most dominate A school .

Good game for 1 1/2 quarters as Bellevue led 8-7 at the end of the first period. As has been the case all year Bellevue turnovers lead to 21 straight points for Beechwood in the last 6 minutes of the 2nd quarter. Both teams played JV players the entire 4th quarter. Very methodical game for Beechwood although getting three drives inside the Bellevue 30 via turnovers makes for easy points. Bellevue played much better than they have the last 2 weeks particularly on D with hitting and tackling. IF Bellevue would stop the turnovers (case in point 14-8 Beechwood with 9 minutes to go in the half......Bellevue gets a great kick off return and boom commits a turnover then commits two more in the next two possessions) they could at least keeps things interesting. Elliott great game...what a QB!!!!!!!

Wow the attacks on Bellevue are fascinating. First of all as fans of a program and as players you are supposed to think you can win. More than likely not but you have to think.' SECONDLY those of you who are reading the Dayton over Covcath comment please read it in the context it was done. It was based on the coaches Top 10 poll that has Dayton ahead of CovCath. I questioned would that happen (that was a rhetorical question).

Bellevue uses the 3 back offense 70% or more of the time

As far as being overrated.....well that comes from outside sources. For example Bellevue is still getting votes in the Northern Ky. Post Top 10 poll and those votes aren't from the Bellevue coach. If you look at the top 10 it is interesting. Would Dayton beat CovCath (love to find out what an awesome win that would be) Should NCC really be that low? Is Beechwood better than NCC (that we will find out on Nov. 02)

NCC Proud papa have you been to Bellevue's stadium this year? Grass is still heavy and green as the new surface gets an A. It is one of the best grass surfaces in the area. While Beechwood will certainly name the score the old Gilligan Stadium is certainly long gone.....of course comparing to the NCC stadium with the big Wildcat signs I certainly would take the new surface over that.:lol:

Ludlow with no problem. Brossart has shown no ability to do anything that warrants thinking they can beat anybody......much less Ludlow
