  1. Actually there seems to be more interest from Brossart than the Camels on who the new coach is!!!!:jump: Seriously though OT I am only reporting what I hear from people in the Newport, Bellevue, NCC circles. I am sure you have more insight from the CC folks. However.....I did notice you did not correct who is being interviewed this week so I look for those 3 to be the leading candidates as we head down the stretch.
  2. LC he very well could be....these are three names that could be confirmed.
  3. Coach Enzweiler is definitely an up and coming coach. CC would be a lot for a first head coaching job but he is going to make somebody a great head coach in the near future. Seiter according to the people at Bellevue has told CC no interest in interviewing after his conversations with A. Strong. I can't say I blame him considering the job he does at Bellevue (asistant superintendent and athletic director).
  4. Interviews being conducted this week..................Carr, Russell, and Scott Code are definitely being interviewed.
  5. Do you think Newport would let Russell out of his contract as it would leave them in a bind. Also as far as Seiter is concerned school starts in Bellevue the 13th ( I think )so that is going to be an issue as well. IN FACT this will be an issue for any public school person. One note Ft. Thomas schools start later than anybody (27th or 28th)
  6. C squared those are valid points for Bob Rowe. He would be an excellent choice and would understand the situation. Here is what I know: Strong and Seiter are friends and since Seiter is in administration at the central office speaks to Strong fairly regularly. Strong according to people at Bellevue has talked with him although Coach Seiter won't say anything to me and I asked him directly about it. He has bought a house somewhere out in the CC area and has some pretty strong athletes that go to Bellevue Schools. I assume Seiter will eventually end up coaching again. He also is the boss of a CC board member and is pretty good friends with her and they work well together at Bellevue.
  7. Camel 1 great point. Lets see.........district title at Brossart was in the.......10th..........Coached 3 years in the tenth. Beat CC when in the 10th......more than once.
  8. My question would be since he is a curriculum guy and is the super's right hand man would Bellevue let him go with less than 30 days until school starts?
  9. Wow! Lets not pull any punches!!!!! I like it
  10. Thati is okay........watching grass grow is a little boring anyway
  11. Hold on Mustang. I said a former Brossart coach with connections to CC and the super Anthony Strong. Did not mention a name. Although Willie would be an awesome choice......doesn't mean and isn't who I was talking about.
  12. Oh I agree with you leatherneck. However........Bellevue has a extensive system in place to make sure the field is under constant care. I just get this feeling from reading some posts that Bellevue has no idea what they are doing and in fact nothing could be more further from the truth. They are finally even making improvements to the softball field at the stadium!
  13. Brossart ever since around 1993 or 94 has been becoming a threat to CC athletics. I can remember Dan Sullivan and Bob Seiter discussing the virtues of the schools with several top basketball players (the majority who ended up at Brossart). This gives the Mustangs "one more area" to threaten CC and I am sure they are very nervous about it. Mexitucky I think you are hitting very close as to some of the problems that CC has had for the past 15 years.
  14. Lets face it. Anytime you have a huge rivalry some things get taken to far. IMO this all didn't get started until the first time Brossart beat CC which by the way was before Willie even got to Brossart. Lets not forget the stage was set before Willie even got to BB. The first ever district title was won in the school's 50 some odd years of basketball the year before Willie became coach with a team that had suffered some tremendous injury to Nathan Seiter who only played in a handful of games that season. Willie did a great job but.......the turnaround started prior to him coming in. If he was to go to CC they would improve immediately. However.......lets make sure credit is given to the coaching staff who spent 6 or 7 years prior to him coming and building the program that led to him building on it more and taking it to levels that even the most rabid BB fan couldn't have imagined.
  15. Holmes has Bermuda and hosted several playoff games two years ago with NCC due to the field being in great shape. Bermuda turns brown but you still have grass. The first frost tends to come in late Oct. not mid - Sept. It is much better to play on brown grass then a mud pit in the playoffs.:sssh:
  16. What makes you think that? Do you know more about grass growing than the expert company?
  17. That has not been the case in the past. The Red Devils best seemed to always end up on the hill. This is good news for CC fans. It will be interesting to see how many BB ends up with over the next several years.
  18. I did hear that a former Brossart coach has applied and has had 2 conversations with the Super. He is pretty tight with several of the CC folks.
  19. Okay lets look at the field today................Grass is growing like crazy.....the Team All Sports Co. determines the water and its levels. It was supposed to look muddy and like a rice paddy. Good thing we have all the Bermuda Grass experts on here. Trust me it is exactly on schedule:thumb:
  20. I think it is good that the NBA is stepping in. I think they want this resolved quickly and efficiently so as not to take away from the finals. They should think about a rule much like the NFL in hiring after the SB. but not during SB week.
  21. The only reason this matters to UK fans are the following: Florida has beaten Ky. the past 2 seasons Transfers to UK if he leaves Otherwise why are UK fans concerned about the poor Orlando magic?????
  22. I'll be the first to admit not giving Dixie any kudos. Great game for them though. Not a fan of the coaching for them (and haven't been for many years) but a good win today. Congrats!!!!!!!:thumb:
