Yeah, been missing too many games this year. It's been a busy holiday season. But it was a great crowd tonight on both sides. There were as many people there as there was for the district games. Glad to see such great attendence and support for both teams. The only downside was I had to walk a mile to get to the game. :lol:

First time I've seen that Terry kid from Rose Hill. Wow is he athletic for his size. With his outside shooting and size, I think he's going to be a dandy in the next few years.

Congrats to the Hill. They certainly played to their inside strength with Gregg. He did seem like he must have scored 30 or so points by himself. Boyd just didn't have anybody to match his strength inside. I really thought Boyd would force a quicker pace to the game but they never really got it going. Boyd did play a lot better in the second half than the first.

Congrats Eagles! LCA was certainly dominating the game by the end, especially the line of scrimmage. Impressive comeback to say the least.

Ashland wins this game easily. They're on a roll and that will continue tonight. They will run the ball all over Woodford Co and the game will be out of hand by the second half. Throwing in a late meaningless TD for WC I think the game will be around 42-20. And it won't be that close!

Pike didn't look like they had half a team's worth of players. One of the smaller amount of players I've seen. The lions dominated play in this one from start to finish pretty much. This allowed them to play a lot guys and work on some different looks. I believe I saw Wilson lined up at QB, RB and receiver (caught one long TD pass).

The Boyd County Wilsons are tough this year, and Zac will be the best player on the field no doubt, but Breathitt will be tough to beat on the road. My best guess would be that Breathitt will pull it out at home.

Boyd improved a ton from week 1. If they wouldn't have had so many dropped passes they could have actually won this game. Their QB Wilson is the one of the best players around this area. Very impressive. If Boyd plays like this the rest of the season they'll win a lot games. Russell was Russell. Very good team, the best area team I think. Should have another good season, but will have problems when they play a good passing team. Boyd had receivers wide open all night against their secondary. IF Russell fixes that they will be tough to beat.

I think either team team can win this game, but these predictions of Elliott winning by a bunch is wishful thinking (just like predicting Rowan over RH). I think this will be a dog fight til the end. Elliott will have to play great just to have a chance against Rose Hill, but I'm sure they will. People are still making excuses for the last game, but the simple fact is Rose Hill has a darn good team, and they have some advantages that Elliott simply can't do anything about. I think Rose Hill will win this one by three, but won't be surprised to see Elliott take it in a close one either. (If Rose Hill should win this one, however, I expect to see some credit given to Rose Hill on here instead of just a bunch of excuses. ) And if Elliott wins, I'll be rooting for them to take it all. I think they would represent the 16th well again, and I enjoy seeing the small schools do well. Can't wait til Monday to watch this classic!

Finally the game is here. Everyone's been waiting for this rematch since the All A tournement. What's everyone thinking about this one? FYI: Just been told this game time has been switched to Monday at 08:15PM

If Ashland wants to win, they need to play a pressing, trapping defense a lot of the time. If it comes down to half court sets the whole game I think Bath will take it. Bath is very physical and will wear you out.

This game will be ugly for Greenup. This is such a mismatch that Elliott can't help but win big. Won't bother me if it's 30-50. Elliott's style just lends to big scores (at least against the inferior teams). It's fun to watch unless it's your team that's getting hammered. I'm looking forward to watching the show tomorrow.

Anybody have shooting percentages? Just wondering how both teams scored so few points. Sounded like a tough way to lose for the lady devils. Congrats to Morgan Co. Gotta win the close ones like that.

I'd sure be hoping for Rowan to defeat Rose Hill if I were Elliott Co too. I'll take Bath (may be a battle), Raceland, Elliott and Rose Hill.

For the 16th Region this year, the underachievers would definetly be Ashland and Russell. Overachievers would be Bath and East Carter.

I wanted to compliment coach Biggs on his coaching too. I sat close to him for a half and he did an excellent job. It's kind of interesting to watch and listen to a coach while the game is being played. While the fans are mostly watching the ball, the coaches have to be aware of everything going on everywhere on the court. He seems like a sharp cat to me.

It was a great game last night. Got to give Ashland a lot of credit for playing the way they did. They were a 1000 times better than any other time I've seen them play this year. I didn't think they would have a chance, but they sure gave it a run. Also a great game for Rose Hill. That first district championship has to be awfully sweet this morning.

Amen brother. Can't stand to listen to him because he's just to unprofessional and biased. I don't mind him being for his team, but he goes way beyond the middle. He could learn a lesson from GoRadio, who does a good job without showing a lot of bias for the home team during the broadcast.

Good luck to everyone, and I hope everybody is healthy and able to give their best in the tourney. Whoever wins will certainly have earned it because there are tough teams in every round. For predictions, I think in the top part that Raceland is the darkhorse team that could make the finals if they are healthy. Otherwise it will be Bath Co. The other side features the clash of the Titans, with Rose Hill and Elliott meeting in the second round (Man, would this game have made a big time final). I think Rose Hill prevails in this one again, thanks to a much tougher schedule which has them tournement ready.

:lol: People are voting Ashland in the pole? Seriously, I understand rooting for your team and everything, but realistically Ashland has 0% chance of winning this game. I know, Ashland just beat Russell to break their long losing streak, but the devils aren't walking through that door Friday night. Rose Hill by 20.
