  2. I think some food rates well because of the associated memories. Bologna sandwiches were made for stripping rooms. (for some of you, that's a tobacco thing). Pimento cheese sandwiches made by mom just seem to make the world right, and my wife has now gotten the touch as well. Always puts a smile on my face when Im looking for a late night snack.

  10. Wisconsin court last year found it to be sport, Florida high schools as well, evolution of cheerleading makes it much different than even ten years ago. could have dramatic effects. Did you notice how women in track and field are counted three times, indoor, outdoor, and cross country. So one kid is registered as three for Title 9 purposes. For some struggling schools economics may come into play. The school in question spends 1500 for each cheerleader, 6500 for each volleyball.
  11. On October 6, 1997 Michael Dell was asked what would be the first thing he would do if named the head of Apple computer. He replied, "I would give the stock holders their money back. Not only did Apple catch Dell, this week their collective market value is 8 times the worth of Dell.(218 billion vs 25 billion) Apple has more money in cash in bank than Dell is worth. 18. I'm with Ram, there's a lot of things we can switch to meet our own preferences. School year should be in summer, no snow days, Christmas in July, oh, sorry merchants already beat us to it.
  19. Polio, graduating class in 1955, shots came just after. St Joseph's hospital in Louisville, this was first time I had ever seen a nun. I also had a young girl (20's) who came to my room one night before surgery to do an exam. She introduced herself as Dr. So and So. I told her she couldn't be a doctor because she was a girl. Probably not many females were in med school at that time and had a bit of rougher experiences due to gender bias. Perhaps she just had a bad day, at any rate complete with cuss words she let this 7 year old little boy from the country, in no uncertain terms, know that females could be anything they wanted to be. It still is the best cussing out I have ever had.
  20. The most fun I ever had was riding to the coast and back (Pacific). 6300 miles in a month with no destination other than west on the way out and east on the way back. But I stand by my suggestion of a top caliber helmet, full face preferred. Without one, I would not be typing.......
