By far the best first round game. This game will come down to hwo gets the most touches. Powell will force you to take lay-ups so they can get the ball back and JBS will do much of the same. I'll take JBS with Clint Stepp being the go to player that takes the game away from Rupp

So is anything for certain yet. Has he gone and if so will Coach Angel replace him or will Lee Co admin go elsewhere?

It has been a wonderful week of basketball in Booneville. The hospitality room is second to none and the basketball is as good as one will see in the mountains.

what should be his second district championship in 2 tries. I would be willing to bet the Owls have something to say about that.

I agree!! Coach Morris has done a spectacular job keeping the bulldogs on top after the departure of Spurlock.

Your right...home cooking baby!! Give me a break. There was one three second call and by the way if you'll check the books Lee shot more freethrows than Owsley did. However lets all be grateful I mean I don't want to bring up the infamous "clock malfunction" that allowed lee to inbound the ball take three dribbles and nail a 1/2 court shot with about 1.9 seconds on the clock to beat Owsley a few years back. Bottom line is the refs done an outstanding job, i'll agree that because there human they may have missed some. Congrats to Owsley.

I don't know.... Hayes should've won this district hands down. I hear he had several come to him and ask him to resighn after last season. TAKE THE HINT!!!!

Listen you have a right to have an opinion, but Owsley did get beat by Lee by 39 in the previous meeting. But, listen a two point win in district is better than a 39 point win in regular season, bottom line is Owsley moves on and Lee goes home. Owsley had something to prove tonight and that was no one I mean no one was going to walk into the "Palace" and beat them. I agree Lee didn't play there best ball but hey when it comes tourney time your either winning or your one and done. Lee goes home on the short end of the stick. I would love to see an Owsley/Estill final.

The Owls continue to struggle. 20+ Turnovers and a 32-10 second quarter blitz by the patriots left the Owls behind 38-18 at half time, and the patriots never looked back.

I'm going to say that Letcher Central will be in the mix. I mean lets be honest, the region will be played on there home floor.

I agree totally!! He did however have a lot of talent in the 98/99 season and the 99/00 season.

I mean I guess you are right but Lee Co is a top team in the 14 and got beat by a .500 11th region team, to be honest I had Lee picked to win this one. Maybe that shows how down the 14th is right now. IMO the only team that could make a good showing at Rupp would be JBS...I hate to say that but I feel it may be true.

To the top... Lee had a great defensive scheme to stop I think his name was moses. I wasn't impressed with Henry Clay and even looking at there record they haven't had any real impressive wins.
