Congratulations to the Jags who could have folded up shop on their season, but instead have a good shot at reaching the regional tournament now. It sure turned out to be a disappointing season for Jackson Co.
Les Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 I hope Conway gets a chance to come back. I believe the guy did a fantastic job with what he had to deal with this season.
Free Bird21 Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Great job by Conway to get these kids playing the way that they have as of late. He'll be back. Good to see NL get out with a big win.
nomorenoles Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Good job Jags. I match with South in the region would fill the place up.
Les Posted February 27, 2007 Author Posted February 27, 2007 Like I said earlier, great job Conway and Jags.
FBALL Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Congratulations to coach Conway. NL is lucky to have him.
Jim Schue Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Jackson Co. focused heavily on getting rough and physical with Josh Seidel, limiting him to only six shots and 10 points. But Shannon came up big with 23 pts, eight boards, four assists and three steals. Josh Tiller also hit two big threes, and with JC keying on Seidel, Tiller was able to drive the lane and dish, picking up five assists. He also threw some nice defense at Jordan Whitehead, whose shot from the top of the key to try and send it to OT rimmed off. Brumback was a load inside with 18/6, but JC's troubles at the FT line (21-35) and behind the arc (2-12) were too much to overcome. North twice built leads as large as eight, but JC showed lots of grit, coming back each time. Shannon's FTs with 14 seconds left ended up icing it in an extremely physical game (46 fouls called altogether).
The Breeze Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Good win for North, hard to understand Jackson Co. this year, IMO should have done much better.
the mathemagician Posted February 27, 2007 Posted February 27, 2007 Jackson Co. must have had some internal issues this year. They are clearly the region's most disappointing team. Hays is a good coach. Could he just not get this group to buy in, or what?
The Equalizer Posted February 28, 2007 Posted February 28, 2007 I don't know.... Hayes should've won this district hands down. I hear he had several come to him and ask him to resighn after last season. TAKE THE HINT!!!!
