Anyone heard who won the championship?? I heard Owsley may have won, but I can't confirm. Congrats to both teams.

Can anyone who has seen the Cat's Pause yearbook let us know who the top players and teams are in the 14th.

Parrett was responsible for the dynasty at Jackson Co. girls and then went to Owsley I believe.

Who all did they add on as assistants. I heard they got pretty slim there after last season.

Owsley will be okay, but as 1owlzfan stated they lack in the pg position. I don't know if Noble is eligible or not but if he is he will be a tremendous help. I have talked to Lively of Powell and he stated that he has simply "re-loaded" and Estill will be tough. I agree with Professor, should be a very entertaining year in the 56th

They have everyone back. They did however lose Trey and Jeremy Congleton. The Owls will be fine and with the addition of Noble will compete very well if they can get some chemistry.

Any word on who the guy will be? I've heard Doug Noble anyone know

Cordia did play everyone to death last year but to only come up short on several occasions. I agree Cordia may be a top ten team but Jackson and Owsley have a lot coming back.

Brian Hall has left the tigers to go to Betsy Layne.

Who will they look to next season? Are there any names being thrown around?

I'd say Owsley with everyone back, but with the loss of Coach Parrett to North Laurel and currently without a coach who knows but they have played well and with Josh Reed, Adam McIntosh with a host of other who have Varsity experience they would have to be in the mix

But, to me it would be a coaches dream to be at one of the top teams in the mountains year in year out. I mean lets face it Powell will not have a whole lot coming back next season and just going on the last couple of years, when the talent leaves Lively leaves. Don't get me wrong I think he's a great guy but if it's offered to him he would be a nut not to take it.

I'm hearing names such as Kyle Lively. As for Morris I believe he will be back at Bell Co. next season.

Word is that Holland has left PCC and is the new man at Hazard. Does anyone have any idea?

It's true. I spoke with him at the state tournament and he told me that he didn't have support and had resigned the day before coming to the state.
