What does North Laurel need to do to improve in 2007/2008? What do they need to keep doing to be successful? Remember, please be constructive.

North Laurel should be pretty good this year, especially with all the drama of last season behind them. Their nucleus is young, and they have two top-notch scorers in Shannon and Seidel. They need to get stronger on the glass.

Who all did they add on as assistants. I heard they got pretty slim there after last season.

They bring everyone back from last season that finished the year. Seidel is a scoring machine and Shannon has developed into a multithreat guard. If their inside game can come along, they can have a very good year. I love Conway and what he brings to the Jags. They will be improved over last year, .. you can bank on that!

Count me on board as a Jim Conway fan as well. Glad the administration didn't cave to the outside pressures (and some internal, from what I've heard) to oust him. Wise move.

The small town politics did nothing but strengthen his resolve to build a solid program at North Laurel. He also has a TON of supporters who realize what he brings to the program and that he will do it the right way. The Jags return EVERYONE and will be a factor not only in their district, but in the 13th region.

I just realized who Parrott is and this is a HUGE positive for the NL program. Conway picked up a first rate coach to help him develop this Jaguar team.

Was he the girls coach at Jackson Co. when they were kicking butt there a few years ago? If so a good pickup. After all the mess last year North will be much stronger having survived it, starting with the coach on down.

That is the one! He wanted to be a boys coach, but the Jackson Co boys coach is an icon there and probably won't be leaving anytime soon (at least until he retires). Going to Owsley was an opportunity to get more accustomed to coaching boys, and at NL he will be a HUGE asset to Conway. I agree with Jim, ... this is a GREAT pickup for an already good coach in Conway. NL will be VERY competitive this season.
