Eddie Whitaker resigns from Bell Co.

Looks like Bell County is looking for a new Boys' and Girls' Basketball Coach.

 

Any thoughts on the successor? Do you think it will be Lewis Morris, since its apparent by other post that Hazard is trying to get rid of him?

 

I know this is not the girls' thread, but Im throwing out my suggestion for the girls job and its Jennifer Hilton.

Is Whitaker gone? If so, It would not surprise me to see more changes in SE KY.

Whitaker resigned yesterday from Bell Co. The only rumor I have really heard around town is that Lewis Morris would be his replacement.

 

Coach Whitaker never lost a district title at Bell County in his 10 years, but never won a regional title.

All I know about Hilton is that she is Dudley Hilton's daughter.

Jennifer Hilton did play ball at Alice Lloyd and was a member of the 1,000 point club at Bell County and if I am not mistaken, she was close to the 2,000 point mark.

I have heard Whitaker has stepped down as well. He may be interested in going back home to Whitesburg and possibly getting the Letcher Central job.

Word is Morris is the favorite, if anything I at least expect him to be on the Bell Co. staff. He seems to know his stuff.

Isn't Bell Co. and Hazard fairly close to each other?

Probably takes about 1 1/2 hours to get from Log Mountain to Hazard.

I think this coming year will be its first year in existence wont it? I may be wrong.

 

I would imagine as long as Whitaker moves back to Whitesburg, it shouldnt be a problem for Josh to get eligible. Thats a pretty solid reason for transferring.

I am thinking closer to 2 1/2 hours. Maybe that is b/c the only times I've made that trip its been on a bus.
