I don't know you'd get to Hazard from Pineville. If you went through Barbourville and Manchester, I guess you could make it an hour and a half.

 

If Whitaker moved, his son would probably be eligible. If he didn't move, it would be tougher.

I would imagine as long as Whitaker moves back to Whitesburg, it shouldnt be a problem for Josh to get eligible. Thats a pretty solid reason for transferring.

He probably wouldn't leave Barbourville, but I have a hard time understanding why someone doesn't go after the highly sucessful Dinky Phipps. He would be a tremendous coach at a large school, considering what he has accomplished at a school with an enrollment of 200.

Through Cary, over Arjay mountain and through Beverly and Queendale? I wouldn't think you could make that trip in much under 90 minutes. Of course you could make a rest stop at the Hwy 66 Chicken Fighting arena at Big Creek on the way.

I am hearing Whitaker was going to be given his walking papers if he didnt resign, so sounds like there is something else to this.

He got an award for 13th region coach of the year at the state tournament. It's tough to get rid of a guy that got any kind of coach of the year award.

 

Anybody have any idea what happened with Gambrel. I spoke with him at the boys state tournament, and he didnt act like anything was up.

Whitaker has been rumored to be headed anywhere from Hazard to Williamsburg. Where ever he lands, he and the youngest son will be fine. I hope he gets close to the Lake so he can enjoy some fishing as well.
