  1. Never dreamed it would have been a blow out. Congrats to South Oldham
  2. The 8th Region is not as strong from top to bottom this year with the loss of Owen County and several teams lost several seniors. Gallatin Co. and Walton-Verona are the only two teams that are as good or better than they were last year. They are both very well coached teams and have played schedules that will have them ready to play. I think Coach Jones is having an easier time coaching this years team because it is not quite as deep. Gallatin Co. has played a stronger schedule and has won more games playing that schedule and I pick them to win the eighth with Carroll coming in second.
  3. I would say Gallatin is the favorite for the 8th region, and a top 5 team in Richmond.
  4. Welcome to the site. I don't think anyone disagrees with Sandman.
  5. 9th region making a statement. Margin was a bit suprising, I agree. Congrats NCC
  6. After the big win over SK the night before I would have liked for the Cats to have had a couple of days to get ready for Anderson Co. It would had been a tough game either way but having two highly ranked teams on back to back days had to be hard. Congrats to Anderson Co.
  7. It seems that this district could very well be up for grabs this year. With Walton-Verona and Simon Kenton being the front runners. Can anyone tell me where the district will be played?
  8. 38-37? Wow, that is not the score I was expecting. Was anyone there? Why was the game so low in scoring?
  9. A win is a win. Both of the Trimble Co. fans there tonight did get to see the Raiders out score the Cats in the 2nd half. Maybe there was more than 2 but there sure wasn't many fans for either team tonight.
  10. A little of the fire is gone since these two are no longer in the same district. Trimble Co. has played better but is still having problems putting up wins. I look for the Cats of Gallatin Co. to run up a early lead and play even after building that lead. Cats by 16.
  11. Come tourny time I won't count anyone out but it should be the Walton and Gallatin Co. game that decides who goes to Richmond. If this game does get played it will be in the second round, not in the finals. The winner of the upper bracket could very well be facing a Carroll Co. team that will have seasoned.
  12. Nice win for the Cats, the Panthers played a good first half and had they kept the turnovers down (young team) it might have been even closer.
  13. Good win for Owen County. Big OUCH for Henry County.
  14. Gallatin has too many weapons against Carrol. GC-78 CC-62
  15. Good win for the Cats. I know they can go about 8 players deep before dropping off too much, so they should be a tough team to beat this year. It sounds like they are starting to get it together again, and all of the rust off.
  16. I just got word that Gallatin defeated Owen 57-39. It was a much lower score than i predicted and Gallatin won by more than I would have thought. It sounds like the GC boys are turning it on a bit.
  17. I too will take Gallatin, but I believe this is the game of the week in the 31st district. I think it will be a close game with a great atmosphere. GC-76 OC-69
  18. When everyone is there and able to play I look for Henson, T. Jones, Brown, Maddox, and Carlton to be the starters. The first 3 are seniors and the other two are juniors.
  19. Henry plays full of energy but they can't match Carroll's speed on defence. Carroll by 15
  20. Carroll has to go on the road for both of their games. Owen has both of theirs at home. From what little I've seen this year the Carroll at Henry is a toss up as is the Gallatin at Owen. Owen should beat Henry by 10+ at home and Gallatin should beat Carroll by 10+ at home.
  21. Henry builds a big lead and holds on to win. Not sure but I think it was a two point game after about a 20 point lead.
