Gallatin Co 69 Henry Co 58

Featured Replies

Gallatin sprinted to a 15-2 lead en route to a 41-29 halftime advantage. Henry got as close as 51-44, but Gallatin pulled away in the 4th. They led 69-50 before Henry scored the final 8 points.

Scott Brown led GC with 24 and Trent Maddox added 20. Gallatin is now 3-1 with Owen and Carroll looming next week.

Looks like the Cats woke up. A good win.

Well looks like Tuesday's meeting between Carroll and Henry will be an important one as the loser will be the 4 seed as of right now, as will Gallatin's and Owen's as the leader jumps out to an early top seed in the district.

Does anyone know how many points hinkle (big man from HC) scored?

Hinkle had 5, according to the Louisville CJ.

IMO, the Cats looked better tonight than the previous games... starting to get a little gel going on. However, don't read too much into this win, Henry seems down this year considerably from what I remember them having last year. All in all, a fun game to watch.

Gallatin showed their versatility as a team tonight. Previous games, the play inside the paint got them going but tonight it was the perimeter game. Bombs away from behind the arc and several nice 15 footers.

Once Gallatin put on the press, it was over. Nice win for Gallatin, each time out they are getting a little better.

Can someone tell me who has been starting for Gallatin, I know that they return 5 of the 9 that played the majority of the minutes, but I know that Coach Jones mixes the up the starting lineup.

I couldn't quote them exactly, however i do know that GC hasn't yet had their full compliment of players. I'm sure they will be difficult to match up against when they do. Coach Jones does an excellent job!

When everyone is there and able to play I look for Henson, T. Jones, Brown, Maddox, and Carlton to be the starters. The first 3 are seniors and the other two are juniors.

Jon Jones is a veteran coach and a master when it comes to motivation. He will not allow his team to overlook any opponent. He has a solid program and does not get enough credit for what he has done with the Gallatin County Wildcats,
