Gallatin 57 Owen 39

Featured Replies

A pretty good game in the first half. Owen's big man, Shelton set on the bench most of the first half in foul trouble. Gallatin's defense was to quick for

Owen to get many good looks at the basket, causing them to force shots. All of Gallatin's players can score at any time. Shelton was definately a force on defense. He maybe could have stood his ground more and took a few charges. But it seemed to me the refs were determined to get him out of there. A few more games under his belt and he will definately make some noise in the District. Gallatin played hard and has a deeper bench. They will be tough to beat this year in the District. No one player stood out more than the others to me. Any sub they put in was just as good as who come out. IMO

Gallatin moves to 2-0 in district play. Looking to move to 3-0 come Friday night.

Maddox led GC with 23 points. Henson and Brown had 9 apiece and Carlton added 8. Gallatin was too physical on both ends of the floor for the Rebels. Most of the Wildcats field goals were layups off their halfcourt sets and stickbacks.

Good win for the Cats. I know they can go about 8 players deep before dropping off too much, so they should be a tough team to beat this year. It sounds like they are starting to get it together again, and all of the rust off.

Way to report Mack!

Owen cut it to six in the third, but quit executing on offense. Again, turnovers killed them. They won in spite of them in the three previous games, but that won't work against Gallatin. It is surprising that Owen consistently ignores their own scorers and players don't seem to know their roles. It's early, they can make a lot of improvement.

Gallatin just dominated in the paint tonight, seemingly scoring at will. Early on they shot a few from the outside, but after they found out they could exploit the middle, it was pound it in big time. Gallatin's bigs out played Owen's bigs on both ends tonight. IMO, Gallatin's experience was a huge factor in this game. Great win Wildcats!!:jump:

I have heard that Carlton wasn't playing this year. I guess that info was wrong.

Futunately he is. He missed a game but is ok now. You know how rumors are.

Gallatin looked good tonight! Henson scored his points in the first half then rolled his ankle and sat out the rest of the game, but He will be fine.

If Gallatin stays healthy they will be hard to beat in the All A.
