Henry's D-line will be too much for holy cross's run game. i say Henry starts off the year with a big win.

I heard the Mgness has come back full strength so I look for this HC squad to be tough. I know a lot of the players and they are extremely hard working. I also know coach Johnson and I think he will keep this team at the same level coach Engstrand has put them at.

The end of the horseshoe that is open is a nightmare for jump shooters. I played there for my high school career and I know that even our shooters struggled on that end. I think South wins this one by 10, but I am really excited to see this game because as much as I hated playing Gallatin, they are so fundamentally sound year in and year out, that you can never count them out against any team. If GC can go into halftime with the lead, I see them winning. They run that wheel to perfection, and I never played a team that was harder to come back from behind on as a Jon Jones coached Gallatin team. I just have a feeling that South will be hitting tonight and will pull away late. I will be pulling for GC and OC tonight though! Go 31st!

By pesky I mean that they wont give up, wont back down, and will play an unbelievable game but end up coming up just short.

I'll take: South Oldham vs. Gallatin County Shelby County vs. Simon Kenton South Oldham vs. Shelby County Shelby County to Rupp in overtime over a pesky South team. Can't wait for this tournament to start. The draw makes for a great tournament IMO.

Pete Baldwin is a senior. Is younger cousin, Tybirious "Spud" Baldwin is a junior at HC and he runs the point for the Wildcats this season.

This is pretty typical of Jason Holland coached teams. I have no doubt in my mind that he will have Oldham back on top once his players get the system and come back from injuries this team should be very tough down the road I hope to see them take down NO this week. Wish I could be there to watch this one.

Well I was corrected before I could even post :thumb:. Its definitely GC.

Im pretty sure they were runners up in Class A state in 2006. Somebody correct me if I am wrong but I know they lost to Brossart who went on to win it. It may have been semifinals though. To be a young adult my memory is slipping fast. In the 2000s though I think it is without question Gallatin County. Jones has really brought that team to the top tier of the 8th and they are contenders each and every year. I hate saying that as a Henry County fan but theres just no other "A" program that has done what GC has done the past decade.

Supposedly he is going to be signing with Marshall. I havent heard any recent updates on the offer but last I heard that is where Butler will play his college ball.

Sorry about the updates. After Magness went down I stopped caring so much about the game. He's a family friend. He broke two bones in his leg and one of the breaks popped through the skin. He has surgery in the mmorning. Keep him in your prayers.

Henry County has a really nice one. They built theirs off of grants and donations. It is really nice and now they have a complete school and athletic complex. The new school is amazing. If anyone has a chance to see it, they will understand.

Henry's best defensive player Eric Butler was sidelined I am pretty sure. That alone takes away a whole lot from the defense. He is their anchor. Plus with Doll firing on all cylinders it might be tough for Curry to get off passes. Curry is an incredible QB though. I gotta go with my cats. HC 28 - WH 21
