  1. Yes, it looks like once again that Brossart will be number one, and the Eagles and the Camels will go at it once again. Brossart played well against Scott. They play well as a team. There are really no superstars on their team. Just a very well coached team that knows how to get the job done. Scott is struggling; there is no doubt about that.
  2. Good for Ryle. I hope they have a good season. I watched them play last night, and the McLeish girl did a great job at the point. She had some nice passes, and I believe scored over 20 points against Scott. Moss scored in the double digits as well.
  3. I know what 2 players you are referring to, Moss and Crittenden. Is Moss any relation to the football player, Randy Moss? Just curious. I thought I had heard awhile back that he had a daughter who played basketball in the Boone County school district? She was originally at Heritage Academy. My bad, I did not see the previous post about his daughter playing at Ryle.
  4. Scott 65, Calvary Christian 39: Scott (5-2) defeated visiting Calvary Christian (2-2) behind junior point Shelbi Benzinger's 18 points, six rebounds and seven assists. Scott freshman center Lauren Tibbs added 17 points and six rebounds. Calvary Christian's leading scorer was Rachel Mollozzi with 15 points.
  5. Saw you the other night at the game. Nice job by the Lady Polar Bears.
  6. If you want to get the chance to see some of the freshman girls teams play, I know that Scott High School is hosting their annual freshman girls tournament starting at the end of next week. Come out and support your freshman girls teams. Not sure of all of the teams, but I know they usually have a good turn out.
  7. It was definitely a very close game last night. And the lady bears did a good job of shutting down Tibbs and Brown. Tibbs has had a double double the last few games, and Brown has been playing very well also. Benzinger was able to put some points on the board when the team needed it. Scott was actually short 4 players last night due to injuries and illness. Two of the players are varsity starters. Nice game was played by the Lady Polar Bears. They never gave up. Scott definitley eeked one out last night.
  8. With the way that Brown and Tibbs have been playing, I am going to go with Scott for the win. However, I expect a very close game.
  9. I wish both teams the best of luck, and I am glad to hear that Tibbs is back in action.
  10. I think this will be a close game for sure. Alot will ride on if Benzinger and Tibbs are playing. I think that Tibbs hurt her ankle. I am not sure of the severity. Tibbs has been playing real well as of late. She is really starting to come into her own, and I believe she will only get better. I am not sure what is going on with Benzinger. I look for it to be a very close and exciting game from both teams.
  11. In the box scores for Boone County, I noticed that Bowling was listed. I thought that she no longer went to Boone County. Is this a different Bowling?
  12. It was definitely a nice win by the Scott Lady Eagles. Tibbs the 6'2 freshman center had a great night with at least 20 plus points, probably more than that. The girls played well as a team, and it was a great team effort. Daugherty got into foul trouble.
  13. So, old guy, how did Notre Dame do again Walton Verona. Who are some of the top players this year for Notre Dame? I can think Jackson and Tierney, who else?
  14. I saw the Scott and Trimble game. Scott looked pretty good, I thought. Any word on how Ryle did and Grant County did.?
  15. And, I will also add that, the juniors that were cut are probably good enough to go to alot of the other schools and play on their varsity team. And, I am sure that the other schools would love to have the girls on their team. I think it is great that Notre Dame always has the numbers, but some of the underclass girls may see what is happening to the junior girls, and may decide not to try out next year for fear of not making the team.
  16. Yes, there are schools that can't afford to cut anyone. For some schools, it is hard to even field a freshman team.
  17. I think that Dixie lost at least 3 players that I know of who contibuted a great deal last year, Firth - graduated, Mayes - graduated and Miller - is now at Anderson High in Ohio. So, who does Dixie have returning? I am thinking they will be below both Lloyd and Ludlow, but above Villa Madonna.
  18. So, how many juniors tried out, does anyone know, and how many were cut. Are there any juniors at all that are playing varsity? I can think of one that I know of for sure that is playing varsity, but other than that, I am not sure???
  19. Didn't last year Notre Dame's freshman basketball team, have only about 7 or 8 players on the team. I know they lost at least one player, Torrie Lange, who is playing soccer only. So, you would think that with a small sophmore class returning, that there would be room for juniors to play on the JV team.
  20. I am pretty sure that Ammerman is playing basketball at NDA, and she went to St. Paul not IHM.
  21. Are there any players that had an impact on your team last year not returning due to playing another sport or for whatever reason?
  22. So, this year someone on Scott's team really needs to step it up, and be a true leader out on the floor. I have no doubt with the quality of coaching that Scott has, that someone or maybe more than just one player will step it up out there. I did hear that Scott has a new player from Holmes. Has anyone heard anything about it?
