Just got back from the Henry scrimmage... Lots of good teams.

 

If anyone knows how they fared please post. The 2 that I saw were Trimble vs Scott High..that one was close I think Scott won 2 quarters and TC won 2.

 

Carroll vs. North Oldham final was about 56-20 Carroll...

 

THe folks at Henry did a great job with the tourney,,,

 

Other teams were..Ryle, Gallatin, Spencer, Whitefield, North Bullit, Grant and Henry.

I saw the Scott and Trimble game. Scott looked pretty good, I thought. Any word on how Ryle did and Grant County did.?

Who looked good for Carroll? I know they will miss Whitney but I think several will step up and they could even be better than last year!!!

Well... to be honest..they all did. Girdy is a huge defensive player and really speeds the team up but they all seemed to have adopted her style and created many turnovers and points. He has about a 7 -8 person rotation and they are in great shape.

 

I was surprised at how many points they could put up. They really did not have a problem defending the big men either even though their biggest girl is 5'9" they just really play as a team.

 

They shot free throws great also.

Grant/N. Bullitt/Henry played 2 Varsity qtrs against each other & 1 JV.

For the Varsity, N. Bullitt vs Henry Co for 2 qtrs-N. Bullitt won by a fairly wide margin if I remember correctly. N. Bullitt vs Grant Co. for 2 qtrs-NB won 1st/16-11 & the 2nd/12-10. Grant vs Henry, 1st qtr GC 8 HC 6. 2nd qtr GC 7 HC 5.

Was North Oldham a very good team? Carroll should be pretty fast having Girdy. The real test will come when Walton-Verona comes to Carrollton. Best of Luck Lady Panthers! :thumb:

North was 6-20 last year..but according to he Cj report they are supposed to be good this year.

 

Can not wait to see WV...I am looking forward to it.
