Wow! Holmes shut down Buckler or did he just not score? I thought Bellevue was in for a real good season this year? Is Holmes in for a good season?

Over threw a wide open Colosimo by about 10 yards on the first play from scrimmage. It went down hill from there. Last year BW had the horses to overcome this type of QB play. This year is different, they need to complete some passes to help the running game with a young and smaller line. Great game by Dixie. Congrats. They dominated the line of scrimmage. I have never seen so many pancake blocks. As for rankings: 1. HHS 2. Ryle 3. Dixie 4. Boone 5. Simon JMO

It seems they would take more players for this All Star series though. I would think 13 players may be a good number. With the must play rule 12 may work. ten leaves you a little thin. JMO Great accomplishment to get there with such a small league. :thumb:

If you are rating them top to bottom, as it appears, I disagree. Roenker and Fuller are there, toss up for 3 between Egan and Jehn. I would give Egan the nod right now. JMO

What is your point? HHS Should dominate this game. The team they will put on the field this year will be scary good. At least one of the Class A schools steps and plays tougher competition trying to get better. Some have to schedule teams just to get a win. I am sure you do not want to compare schedule strength with them. When you make your season all about beating ONE team it makes it hard to focus on your other games. I think you may be wrong about a Boone Co. kid who played for M in the summer then went to BW. I cannot think of him. What year in the last 12 has CCH won state? They have not won region in the last 4 years ( 3 of which having the most talent,IMO. Ryle was close in talent, but not NCC or BW the last 2). BW has won twice in the last 4 if I am not mistaken, once losing in the championship. In the ALL A the last 4 years: BW has won it once and lost in the championship once. I am not sure what they did 3 years ago. Maybe a good way to word it would be Coach M has done a lot with less talent. BTW, I am curious, who are some of the CCH grads that are in the pros?

Ronald Cotton from Boone County High and the Bluegrass Chiefs needs your prayers for a speedy recovery. Ronald was injured Saturday while batting. He took a pitch to the face. Ronald is a great kid and a great player. Get well soon RC.

This is a thread about opinions on next year. No one has said Bellevue will not be better next year. They just will not be better than some of the other teams. Did Bellevue lose there best pitcher or is he back? Who else will they have on the mound that will help them compete with the other 9th region teams? Someone will have to step up to hit in front of and behind Jones or teams will just pitch around him. Who will that be? I really do not know, so help us out and inform us BB#21. For BW, AJ kind of struggled down the stretch in alot of peoples opinion. The under-classman stepped up and performed well. They will miss Snyders all for the team leadership. Hyde will also be missed, but replaced by a junior who missed last year due to injury. My guess is BW will be a better team next year, but will they get some of the breaks they got this year? Once again, next year they will be young but tested.

I believe this may be a rumor of wishful thinking. He will be in Bellevue next year.

Fathers who are former coaches are taking care of the team. Why is this so important to anyone? Who really cares about this? If a player goes on vacation with his family great. Maybe this is why the Lions are missing a pitcher. I personally think this is crazy. I understand why it is in place though. I know at least 2 of the BW players are out and not sure if the other 2 are playing.

How are the 16 year old Colonels doing in the Battle of The Borders Tourney?

The Lions beat Somerset Gold 7-0. Doug Teegarden(15- from Boone County) throws a no hitter, only allowing 1 walk and the Lions commit 1 error. Great job Doug and the Lions!

The Lions play a team from Somerset Saturday morning at 9 AM at Simon Kenton High School. This is part of the Battle Of The Borders Tourney. They are missing two of their top pitchers and could use all the local support they could get I would say.JMO
