Congratulations to former Beechwood player Chris Curley who has signed with the Atlanta Braves. Curley led Beechwood to the state championship game and continued his success at Campbellsville. Best of luck on even more success in the pros. Here is the info from the Cincinnati Enquirer.

 

Braves sign Beechwood grad

Beechwood grad Chris Curley signed with the Atlanta Braves last week. He's on the team's rookie affiliate roster in Danville, Va.

 

Curley, who played college ball at Campbellsville (NAIA), signed with the Braves after a series of tryouts this summer.

 

His father, Bill Curley, said the team plans to use him as a middle infielder.

 

Curley, who helped lead Beechwood to a state runner-up finish as a senior in 2006, was the Mid-South Conference player of the year last season.
