  1. I apologize then. Like I said that was just a rumor I had heard. Thanks for clarifying that! :thumb:
  2. The season has not even started yet. Owen, Carroll, Henry, and GALLATIN are all battling for a District Championship!:thumb:
  3. That is just hearsay I heard. Not sure where they recieved the info but just thought I would post it to see if anybody would agree with that. So, no I do not have these. Sorry. To compare the two my vote would go for Bird. NOt based on numbers but the way Bird runs. Bird always finds a hole to run through and when there is not one he makes one. Thats just my opinion :thumb:
  4. What are your thoughts on the best running back in the NCKC? In my opinion it is between David Bird, Daniel Rose, and Jared Carlton. I think that if Rose would have stayed healthy he would be the favorite. I believe he was the preseason NCKC top player. Since Rose has been down it is now between Bird and Carlton. So who is the better back?
  5. I think Carroll just needs to get back into the groove of things. It seems to me that the team is still down due to the injury of Rose and due to the tough loss to Gallatin which in my opinion should have been a W if Rose would have stayed healthy. The Panthers just need to move on. Hopefully with the bye week they can get stuff corrected and finish the season on a high note. Good luck to the Panthers the rest of the year! Ive still got faith!
  6. Perkins and Edmondson did carry the team, but at the same time they had some above average players playing with them. Brown and Carlton I would have to say being the best two to compliment Perkins and Edmondson. Watching many of Gallatins games last year, Maddox did not really show any offensive skills besides cutting. He was probably one of the best ball cutters in the region. He mostly recieved his points off of lay-ups. Just in my opinion, Maddox was not a very good shooter. Jones was a good shooter as long as he was not being guarded. It seemed to me that as long as someone was near him, he was not a consistant shooter. Gallatin should be able to make noise this year, but in my opinion they will not be as good as last years team. Gallatin is not as deep as they were last year which helped them. While most teams were getting fatigued, gallatin could rotate nine in and out. They do not have that kind of rotation this year. Good luck to GC!
  7. I think that the loss to Gallatin will wake up Carroll and they should be ready for Ludlow. I know that the loss to Gallatin was a tough one, but they must move on. Im sure Coach Weedman and the coaching staff for the Panthers will have them ready come Friday night. After seeing Ludlow against Trimble at Henry Co. Saturday night, the Ludlow Panthers also look to have a good team. The quarterback can hurt you with the arm if you dont cover people and he can hurt you with your legs if you dont keep him in the pocket.
  8. I apologize. I must have had my numbers mixed up on the field. Either way, they made the tackle. Sorry for false information.
  9. Hmmm...thats funny, from where I was sitting in the stands in the corner of the endzone, it seemed to me that Henson was not near the tackle. I believe it was Nunn who made the tackle because he was in the linebacker position, but thats just what I seen.
  10. Is Welch injured? Henson & Nunn just came back from injuries thursday. Also looking forward to our first Friday Night Home game under the lights:dancingpa To my understanding, Welch tweaked something in practice and as a percaution he sat out the scrimmage. What happened to Henson and Nunn? Glad to see them back on the field though. I always hate to see players go down, especially when they are seniors.
  11. Yes, they scrimmaged Moore @ Moore High School. They looked pretty decent but did notice that Welch did not play. That hurt the Panthers running game and forced the Panthers to change formations for the scrimmage. I also know that, with Welch returning this week, the Panthers will be back in the "I". Watching some practices since they have started, the Panthers looked very good in the "I". I was very disappointed to see them change formations for the scrimmage, but due to injuries it was necessary. I believe that they will be more successful in the "I" this year than last. I think that the personnel is better this year for the "I" than last year. I do know that Coach Weedman has been wanting to perfect the "I" since he was named head coach. Can't wait until Friday night to see the Panthers and Wildcats face off! :thumb:
  12. Thanks BigCountryBoy, also Good luck to you boys this year!
  13. Alright. Thanks True Blue and Gold. Good luck to you boys this year!
  14. Wow! This is real surprising to me since Gallatin only lost 3 seniors and seemed like they were excited about this coming year. Did any player(s) stand out for either team?
  15. How did this scrimmage turn out? Any details? I heard through the grapevine that Gallatin did not have a good showing. Can anybody confirm?
  16. I just got word on the scrimmage that Carroll did stay in the "I" formation. I look forward to seeing the "I" if you are correct at Cable being at QB with Welch being at RB and Rose at FB. Seems to me that Carroll will use Rose more as a power runner this year. Either way, the "I" formation should be good for the Panthers this year.
  17. So is anyone sure of what time this game will be held? If the temporary lights will be available why not play on Friday night at 7:30? Playing at 7:30 will give fans enough time to get off work to go see this season opener and I would really like to get off to see it. If the game stands at 5:30, looks like I will be taking a day off! :thumb:
  18. Gallatin will be a team to look out for again this year, but to say that they will be better than last year? I find that hard to believe after losing Cody Perkins and Nate Edmondson. Those two are hard to replace but I cannot wait to see what the new Wildcats can do!
  19. After watching Carroll Co. last season I look for Wallace, Osborne, and Girdy to take up the scoring from Ballinger. Also Curry, an incoming freshman, should make a presence underneath the basket. I look for Carroll to be better than people are thinking at this point.
  20. Like I was telling spillywilly, I said that from the 2008 class, he is the only one that stood out to me. Im not saying he is the lonesome returnee, just that he was the only one that stood out from that particular class. And I only mentioned the wins from the previous years because teammomaholic wants to compare classes so I gave my opinion on him saying that Gallatin has "dominated", when in fact they have not. Just trying to make a point here. All I have left to say is, I cannot wait to see this tournament and may the best team win.
  21. I did not mean to say he was the only one returning all together. I meant that from the 2008 class, he was the only one who stood out to me.

  24. Yes I do actually believe Carroll will win this tournament. Gallatin may have a better 2008 class with Brown. He is the only real threat on the team that I seen this past season. He was a pure shooter and great defender and an overall good player, but that is all I see returning out of 2008. The 2009 class seems to look tremendous for Carroll. If I recall correctly, Carrolls class of 2009 won the Class "A" tournament in 8th grade and also took the Freshman district title the following year as freshman. Now I am aware this was 8th grade and freshman year, but these same kids that played in these games have recieved playing time at the varsity level as Allen, Hendrick, and Cable all started varisty games for the Panthers this past season. The 2010 class for Carroll also looks to have the edge as they also won the Class "A" in 8th grade and districts the following year. Some of those players also recieved playing time at the varsity level to improve their game, as they did. Yager, Proctor, and Craig all recived quality time and has improved in the off season. This is just my opinion, based on facts of previous years, but I see Carroll as having the better team. I also believe Carroll has a little bit more chance of winning than Williamstown, but everyone has their own opinion :thumb:
  25. Sorry about the mistake. I was under the impression he was a senior.
