I always find the price per gallon (KY gas tx $.26 per gallon) consistently much lower south of Cincy metro. Was in Tennessee (Gas tax $27.4 per gallon) this past week and was paying $1.98 - $2.19.

Hopefully 3 pieces of ham, if I can get past the warden without her seeing me.

From all I have watched, looks like he broke plane then pushed back. You hate to see a looser in a game like this but that's how competition goes. It should not define the fine season DeSales had.

Coach, if my son or daughter were in the state playoffs and I had the ability and time to be there, distance doesn't matter. My parents only saw me play one sporting event in my life. Would I have liked for them to be at every one? Probably, but I knew they couldn't be there and it really did not bother me as a young man. The way I grew up, my brother and I took what life gave us and we went with it.

This is true for pretty much all of 6A outside of Louisville nowadays. Scott County(2013) only non-Louisville 6A to win it since 2007. Back when largest class was 4A from 1975-2006, looks like 7 non-Louisville 6A elite teams won it.

I understand your point but prior to present coaching, Dixie coaching staff (Spritzky) had a 600+ winning percentage which in my book means they were more often than not 500 or better, competitive each season and were at least relevant in the playoff picture to win a few games.

Kids gravitate to "winning" programs nowadays and Dixie is not a "winning program at the moment. Also, you'd think participation numbers would be up when coming off a championship season but that's just not the case at TF.

Was told that Dixie fields a "froshmore" team. Not enough numbers for freshman team and not enough numbers for sophomores who aren't ready yet for Varsity to play JV. Also, their feeder school Turkeyfoot has low numbers as well. I was Turkeyfoot is out-manned just about every week even when they play small schools. Are numbers at Simon Kenton and Scott like this? My guess is no.

It's kind of an embarrassment in my opinion. Are kids just not going out for football at DH? Has to be a reason why their program is on the skids.

Wow, so far every loss for Dixie has been a shutout. To be honest, I see maybe 1 or 2 wins on the remaining schedule but I'm not real confident. Brossart 56-78 (418 win pct. so far) Spritzky 68-37 (647 win pct. for nine years prior to Brossart)

I see this one over before the half to be honest. Hope I'm wrong and it's a good game for 4 quarters, not just one. Just don't see the Red Colonels stopping the Blue Colonels. Hope the game is injury free for both teams.

And with the billions of phones with cameras people carry on their person 24/7, I always wonder why no pics or the pics are so conveniently fuzzy you couldn't tell a Bigfoot from a pigeon.

All I can say is I guess I've been unlucky with the spots I've eaten. But as I noted earlier, I have found some are better than others.

I feel just the opposite since the Frisch family sold it regarding the restaurants in NKY region. However, I will admit that some Frisch's are better than others. We always stop at the Frisch's in London and really like it. Also Frisch's in Madison Indiana is very good as well.

I noticed a difference, however I just thought my aging taste buds were failing. Nice to know I may have been right. Could be Frisch's, like a lot of the restaurants, no longer cook things from scratch so to speak. I think things are frozen and then thawed/reheated in microwaves way more than in the past. Just like Cracker Barrel is NOT the Cracker Barrel of the past. Last few times there I can detect that frozen/refrigerated taste in the food. Seems that restaurants like this are cutting corners.

I enjoyed NASCAR when more auto models were involved like Chevy, Ford, Plymouth, Pontiac, Buick, Oldsmbile, Dodge; and you could tell one from the other, the old race on Sunday sell on Monday days. The sheet metal now is exactly the same on all cars except for paint schemes on the front and rear to make them "look" different. Plus the car drivers were more "characters" back then.

Well, the "we love to GOUGE you" gasoline company named Speedway raised their per gallon price to $2.95 this morning while everybody else around them (Edgewood, Fort Mitchell, Florence area) are in the $2.40s to $2.50s range...............for now.

I see no malicious intent there. I would not have made an ejection call had I been umpiring. Sad the kid has to sit out games.
