Tates Creek 52 Bardstown 51
Tates Creek is probably one of the best 10-9 teams in the state. They play a very tough schedule being in the mighty 11th region. But it doesn't get any easier, they still have Franklin Co. and Dunbar coming up.
-
Anderson County 55 McCreary Central 35
I wouldn't consider McCreary struggling. Anderson Co. is just that much better than McCreary Co. Games are a little tougher outside the 12th.

Lee County 54 Estill County 51
Congratulations Lee Co. So I guess the district tournament will work out like this..... Lee Co. vs Powell Co. Estill Co. vs Owsley Co. Is that correct?

Holmes v Hazard Predictions (2/7)
Holmes wins this one by 10+

Once more: Scott County, sans transfers ...
Did those three transfer to Holmes? Yes they did, end of story, they are transfers.:sssh:

Once more: Scott County, sans transfers ...
Holmes, Housley transfered from Holy Cross to Newport and now is at Holmes (he's transfered twice in his 4 year high school career) The Johnson brothers, Ricardo and Jerimiah, they both played at Cincinnati Taft their freshman year and transfered to Holmes their sophomore year. Doesn't matter how it happened, the fact is they transfered in after playing at Taft their freshman year. Clark Co., Zolo transfered in (current UK recruit), Rogers transfered in from Fleming Co., Brewer transfered in from Powell Co. Hazard, Whitaker and Warren transfered in from Bell Co., Back transfered in from Perry Central That's just a few, and there are plenty more out there, like J-town, Mason Co. Shelby Valley, Elliott Co., Trinity, Lex Cath., etc.

Holmes v Cooper Predictions (1/29)
Do you actually think 28 people really think that Cooper will beat Holmes. NO, this was their way of saying "this is a rediculous poll", I don't believe I would have started one for this game. I don't believe I would have even started a thread. The #1 team in the state playing a 1-16 team??????? The outcome is obvious!

The Courier-Journal's Litkenhous Ratings 1-19
Good quote, I agree, It takes a lot of luck to win the state championship. Any team can be beaten on any given night. A coach just hopes that his teams "given" night is not during in the first round of districts, in regionals or in the state tournament.

The Courier-Journal's Litkenhous Ratings 1-19
When I stated "Yes I did" I was not trying to insinuate that I was Dale Ferguson. I am not Dale Ferguson. Don't try to tie my comments to him. I believe you are breaking the Guru's rule #5 by asking a question like that!

The Courier-Journal's Litkenhous Ratings 1-19
Yes I did!

Newport 49 Beechwood 47
Not picking at you, but that was the most excuses I've ever seen in one paragraph!:thumb:

Rose Hill 74 Bath County 64
Congratulations Rose Hill, great comeback. Looks like the youngsters are coming together!

The Courier-Journal's Litkenhous Ratings 1-19
OK, still don't see your logic. Holmes beat Scott Co. in the FOURTH game of the year on a neutral court. Scott Co. just beat Bryan Station on Bryan Station's home court by 27. Your always try to spin things to Holme's advantage. I agree Holmes is a very very good team and you are the biggest fan that Holmes has, but why do you always have to make the Holmes team and players "king of the mountain" and every other team out there "second class citizens". You always have to one up everyone that post on this site. You say Elliott does not play any competition, they only have one loss. You talk about Holmes W/L record but don't recognize Elliotts W/L record. You talk about Scott Co. having a worse W/L record than Holmes, but if you look at Scott Co's schedule, they have played a tougher schedule than Holmes, but you don't recognize that. You talk about common opponents, Boone Co. beat Conner by 16, but Holmes only beat Conner by 7. You say Boone is in the 2-10 ranked teams that is in the 9th but you say that the second best team in the 9th is a very distant second. Man, other people on here have teams just like you do. I'm glad you're proud of your team, but let other people 'thump their chest" a little too without constantly trying to "one-up-them" with the Holmes team. Good luck to all teams out there!

The Courier-Journal's Litkenhous Ratings 1-19
Didn't Bryan Station beat Holmes this season? I don't understand your logic?
-
Elliott County 96 Fairview 47
Good win Elliott Co., my pick to win the All A!
-
How many out-of-region games does your school play?
Elliott County plays 7 teams not in the 16th Region South Charleston, WV Cedar Hill, TX Myrtle Beach, SC Pickering (Canada) Southside, SC Anderson County Mason County
-
Hazard 51 Perry County Central 36
Hazard is hard to beat at home. I figured it was time for them to get it together and get back on track. Good win Bulldogs.
-
Morgan County 52 East Carter 43
Congratulations Morgan County, this was a big win. East Carter is having a rough first half of the season, I thought they were the pre-season number 2 team in the 16th. Seems like everyone has been beating them. They better get it together by the end of the season or they will be watching from the sidelines when the rest of the 16th is battling to make it to Rupp Arena.
-
Tates Creek 44 Ryle 41
Ryle is struggling right now. Did Russell only start the first three games of the season? Because that's the only three games he scored in double digits. Actually those were three of the tougher games that Ryle has played so far this season. Since then he's only averaged a little over 4 points a game. Could it be the type of offense the team is running causing the inability to score?

Holmes v Harrison County Predictions (1/17)
No, Wireman picks Elliott...and they aren't even playing them!:D JK Holmes wins this one big, starters get to sit a lot and bench will play most of the second half.

Boone Co. at Campbell Co. 1/17/09
Boone takes the Highlands loss out on Campbell tonight. Boone by 15
-
Best Sophmores in KY?
Tates Creek has two very good sophomores, Barksdale and Fucci.
-
Ballard 71 Jeffersontown 67
Not sure they will, they lost to Madison Central on January 10, 2009 and they did not drop in the BGR poll that came out January 16, 2009?????????????? However, I agree, they should drop with two losses in one week.
-
Holmes 70 Franklin County 48
???The box score says R. Johnson had... 4 baskets 3 free throws 13 points Rebounds or assists are not in the box score. Not trying to be smart, just confused to what you are asking.
