Ballard 71 Jeffersontown 67

Featured Replies

Ballard keeps rolling. Made something like 25 free throws. Both teams had a lot of turnovers.

Keiston Jones, Ian Chiles, and Wesley Cox led Ballard.

Wow. Maybe J'town isn't the clear cut favorite to win the 7th after all?

I was impressed with Ballard when I saw them against Holmes. Very athletic and plays tough man to man defense. Their press is also one of the best I've seen this year because of how quick they are..

Ballard should be rising in the polls this week.

And J'town should be dropping after 2 losses in the last week..

I agree.

I know that Ballard had several guys that played football and some young kids that are very athletic. Year in and year out Coach Renner does a great job and they are always a tough out in March. The 7th region is tough as always.

Not sure they will, they lost to Madison Central on January 10, 2009 and they did not drop in the BGR poll that came out January 16, 2009??????????????

However, I agree, they should drop with two losses in one week.

I'd say they'll drop some after this loss. Ballard is a solid team but not someone J'town should have lost to with the talent they have.

Its the 7th region! You can rank them any way you want, but every team can lose at any given time. Its the toughest region in the state hands down. Eastern is top dog, Jtown, Ballard, and Male are all capable too. Manual gets Jenkins back this week and he's going to be at near 100% and you've got yourself a wide open region.

Didn't J'town beat Eastern by 15? Not sure you can call them top dog when they got beat handily by J'town.

Ballard wins with its defense and quickness. They may have 2 offensive sets that they run.

Speed and quickness kills!!!

Eastern beat PRP by 26 in the other semi game in the LIT and will meet Ballard in the finals tonite.

Eastern is very much a top dog in the 7th.

Very nice win for Ballard :thumb:

Wow. We actually agree. See you Friday night.

Great job by Coach Renner and the guys since the Eastern game. They were underestimated by a lot of people early on...matters more how you FINISH than how you start. Their bench is DEEP and they rotate a lot of players...knowing them like I do, the issue of "keeping them all happy" shouldn't be a negative either -- VERY high-character, team-first kids.
