I don't think it "bias", Shelby Valley does not have one win against a top team in the state the entire year. As a matter of fact, they don't even have a quality win in the state of KY. If I'm wrong, name one. Teams have to earn their rankings. I don't think they have earned a top 10 ranking.

I'm not too sure "enjoy" is the right word. I do agree he will use games like this to "teach", hopefully his students "learn"!

Didn't realize that, seems like when I look at the line scores it's not been that balanced. I agree that is balanced scoring. But with the game at LC, I'll still go with LC by 5. They are extremely hard to beat at home.

Absolutely nobody! They have not played a top team in the state this year. They only play one top 20 team the entire season. Looks they would have to beat someone to get in the top 10?

I agree some districts are stronger/weaker than others. I've seen #4 seeds in a district win the district. Good job by the team and coach. I've seen #1 or #2 seeds lose the first game in districts and dominate throughout the regular season. If this happens, it doesn't matter how many wins a team has. That first loss in districts just ends the season. Post-season is what every team that plays is working towards. The whole point of the regular season is to perform well in the post-season. Ask any coach what their goal is for their team. If performing well in the post-season is not a coach's goal, I think a school may have the wrong coach.

Just using win and loss records don't totally determine if a coach is good or not. Too many factors come in to play, like.. -True talent the team has, and the talent of players -Schedule the team plays -The development of a feeder program -Student/athlete population -Support from the community and District Administration In MY opinion these are some of the factors that determine a good coach. -Has the ability to get the most out of the players he/she has -Take the talent he/she has and build the team around the players/teams strengths -Can adapt to different game situations/defenses/etc. -Has the team playing better as the season goes on (post season play) -Demands and has the respect of the players and can communicate with players -Consistant standards with ALL players on the team and promotes team play -Open to input from assistant coaches -Gets involved with the feeder schools and starts to implement his/her coaching philosophy -Practices hard and TEACHES the basics of basketball I've seen teams/coaches not win many games throughout the regular season but when it comes to the post season they perform very well.. I also have seen teams/coaches win many games throughout the regular season and go "one-and-done" in the post season... I think a better judge of a coaches abiltiy would be look at their entire coaching career post season performance. What does their team accomplish when it really counts (post-season performance).

I've not seen him play but I can't imagine an eighth grader being the #11 player in NKY with all the freshman - senior talent that NKY has. From what I hear he is a very good player and has a ton of potential, but this thread is titled "Top 5 Players in NKY" . You are saying that Dixie has two of the top 11 players in NKY. You sure?
