A few nice wins for the Raiders lately.

Any team in the Ninth Region is beatable by anyone, on any given night!

This leaves the '04 Cov. Cath. squad as the last team to run the table in the 9th region.

Anybody have details. How did Mcliesh do for Ryle?

Lets face it....Holmes has not lived up to the preseason hype.

That's more of an indictment on the fans than the team.

Rico in foul trouble tonight and Ryle punching back. They led most if not all of the 2nd half I believe. Huge wins on the road against Highlands and Holmes this past week.Throw Ryle's hat in the ring.

BIG win for Ryle. Pinkston had a super night (15 pts.) and Stauffer chipped in 16 pts. 2 big free throws with 15 seconds left by Coleman forced Holmes to put up a 3, which they missed, and Ryle got a breakaway basket to end the game.

Holmes looked pretty bored to be honest. Didn't see much enthusiasm or intensity. There is no question they had more talent on the floor against Ryle (and any team in the 9th), but if they play that sloppy and uninspired they are very beatable.

Congrats to the Raiders on a big win. Holmes appears to be underachieving and are not the dominate force that they should be. They are the most talented and athletic team in the 9th but are not playing to their potential.

Glad to hear LT had a big night. He's always had a nice stroke.

I've only been to 5 games or so this year, but he's played a big role in every one.

Things definitely went the Raiders way tonight. Not sure what to expect with them this season. They seem to beat some teams you wouldn't expect and lose to teams they aren't supposed to. With that said, they are surely capable of having big post season, but they will need to get McLeish and Coleman to be good floor leaders and unite their team or it will be a quick exit in my opinion.

The Raiders showed tonight what 32 minutes of focused work can get you. The Bulldogs showed what can happen when you get too lax just because you're up 16-6 at the end of the 1st period with a couple of flashy dunks. You could just read their body language that said they thought that their work was done. Ryle stayed consistent in their attack, being feisty and diving for every loose ball and outscored the Bulldogs 45-30 the rest of the way. The Bulldogs tried to turn in on a little too late. Basically Ryle took the Bulldogs to school tonight and if they were paying attention they might've learned something in their loss. Like what 32 minutes of focused work can get you.

Congratulation Raiders :thumb: on your victory against the full of themselves, not hungry enough, defending state champs. Watching you work hard for the entire game and getting the prize you deserved as the buzzer sounded was a thrill. So very often the Bulldogs win in games like these with last minute effort. Tonight you taught them that this approach isn't always fool proof. If they want to repeat as State Champs, hopefully you helped remind them what kind of work it's gonna take to do it. You also showed them that there's no guarantee that they're even gonna get the chance when the 9th Region Tournament is said and done.
