It seems to me that the attendance at football game is becoming a reflection of the spirit of a community. We don't have the community closeness anymore. When our kids graduate neither they nor their parents ever come back on Friday night. To me that is very sad.

Was really shocked by some of the "Pirate nation". Used to have a lot of respect but couldn't believe the language used by some with kids all around. I know this wasn't all of the fans, in fact it was a small group, but you think with that much success they would be quiet. Just a little rant on my part. I know Sheldon Clark probably had some rude fans but I was sitting next to the Belfry section. Generally the Belfry fans are very classy.

I still don't think this will "get ugly". SC is much more rounded as opposed to last year, and their defense is much improved. Albeit they gave up a lot of points last week, but that was against a Bell team that may win the 4a championship. Hager will have the Cards ready for Belfry come Friday night and if Belfry isn't ready they may be brought down a peg. Either way it's going to be a great game at the ROCK!
