Pretty big game in the Mountains this week.

Should be a great matchup of two undefeated football teams. I beleive that Sheldon Clark is ranked high in Class 3A behind Belfry maybe someone could let us know where.

I think the AP has them ranked 2nd, for what its worth.

Bell will win going away

How do the Cardinals match up with the Bobcats this year.. Defense...Offense...Special teams? Several are predicting a similar score to last year.....but is Sheldon Clark a better team this year? Bell could be even stronger than they were last year at this time. The game is on Log Mountain this year as well. Cardinal Fans, can you shed some light on the game?

I think Bell Co wins by at least 2 TD's but likely more.

The buzz from Cardinal fans is that they really want this game, so I could see this being fairly close for a half, and then Bell breaks their spirits.

SC obviously lost Mr. Everything Adam Dials from last season. They still have a solid running back in the Kelley kid, who is stronger and more powerful than Dials, but not nearly as agile. SC has dedicated themselves to finding balance with their SOPH QB, and as a result have already passed for over 1,000 yards this season. The QB impressed me in last year's regional finals as he has a nice arm, but he still has not faced a defense like Bell's this season. The DeLong kid is a nice receiver.

 

Defensively, and on the lines, you are going to get you standard issue Sheldon Clark team. Lots of size up front, not very mobile, but strong as oxen. A defense that by and large will be undersized at LB and DB, but excellent tacklers and limited mistakes. All in all, SC's defense will be improved from last season, and their biggest improvement will be depth.

 

Bell will have a major advantage in special teams.

Bell will prove they are for real.
