  1. Ditto as well on 2 Humped and Clyde's comments. UKFAN4EVER: I feel the passion for Camel athletics in your tone. If you are so upset, may I suggest that you share your comments with the administration (Mr. Strong, Mrs. Boots, CCS Board Members, etc.)? Despite what you may believe, these are reasonable people that care about what you think and care about the success of CCS students and athletes.
  2. You are spot on Sandman. My aplogy to UKFAN4EVER. It is the Thanksgiving season! Now let's see if he or she can do the same?
  3. To say that the administration is a joke based on your observations of who does not attend hs games is absurd. I agree that the admin should be supportive of all sports, clubs, etc. However, their primary focus should be on academics. Based on the latest state rankings, CC Schools is #14 among public school systems in KY (based on test scores). CC Schools was ranked in the #70's when Strong became Superintendent. We can agree that Troy Styer did a good job during his tenure.
  4. Camel head on a pyramid background. Bob Miller Stadium is known as the Pyramid. This was created and painted on the pressbox by a former artistic student around 2005.
  5. Gotta throw Travis Elliot into the mix. Nearly 2,000 yards rushing and one of the hardest runners that I have ever witnessed.
  6. One other option for the Rocks is to take a chartered flight into CVG and then shuttle the team over by limo. Why take a chance of getting lost in Union and then forfeiting (LOL)? Good Luck to both teams!
  7. The real joke are posters like you that contribute nothing positive to the process. You pay your $15 annual fee to BGP's and lower yourself to name calling under the shroud of a screen name. CC now has a real opportunity (and a little more time this go round) to dig in and find a long term coach that will build upon Troy's program and take the Camels to the next level. C'mon.....be part of the solution instead of the alleged problem!
  8. Totally unfair to Coach Siple! You sound as if you are speaking with some level of authority concerning the events of this past season. Kevin is a quality person and good coach. He had great success honing his coaching skills under Beechwood's Bernie Barre years ago and brought Indian Hill to a level of prominence as head coach.
  9. Steve Hensley is the new AD @ Campbell (and is doing a great job BTW). Good hire!
  10. CC alumn, standout player, All-American @ UD, longtime CC teacher, 6 year varsity football coach, bleeds CC Purple, great dad & husband. We all know that a varsity HC position is a 24-7 commitment. Troy has 4 girls growing up right before his eyes. He understands the value of family and the toll that a head coaching position has on one's personal life. Coach Styer went out on his own terms and left the program in good shape overall. He is a quality man!
  11. This is an attractive job for a new HC: 1) New multi-million dollar stadium with seating for 4,000 on the grounds of the high school. No more "away" games at Bob Miller Stadium. Stadium may be ready for play by mid next season. 2) Good stable of underclassmen players. JV was 6-3 and Freshmen 7-2 in 2010. 3) A youth program that is thriving and growing. Over 200 players in the program in 2010. 4) The administration DOES want a winner and will support that effort moving forward.
  12. Coach Styer announced that he is stepping down as the Camels head coach following last night's Campbell County Fall Sport's Banquet. Good Luck Troy to both you and your great family.:thumb:
  13. Heat of the moment, the official has got to give Rogers the TD. The Back Judge's only mistake was his indecision by conferring with the official on the "opposite side" of the field in making the call. Just make the call, stick with your decision, and move on.
  14. CC tried to give this game away to a determined GRC team that nearly pulled the the magic carpet from under the Camels. Pokey Harris is a world class sprinter. When he returned the punt for a TD and the lead, the kid looked like a bolt of lightning. He's got to be one of the fastest kids in the state. However, the experience and patience of QB Michael Kremer leading the Camels for a final 85 yard drive was amazing. The Camel receivers on the final drive showed great composure (Cox #11 , Hodge #28, Smith #83, etc). The O Line for 2 weeks in a row gave Kremer excellent protection and time to throw. Great job! Corey Rogers #81 for GRC had a monster game. This kid catches anything thrown his way and is a load to tackle! Are any schools looking at him? Congrats to both teams, GRC's Coach Columbia, and the Camel's Coach Styer on two of the greatest high school games that I have ever witnessed. GO CAMELS.....you can beat the Raiders!!
  15. Disappointed that Campbell Co Camel stats were not posted or reported. I believe that QB Michael Kremer was one of the state's passing leaders again. Every other 6A school from No. Ky reported stats. I know that CC has 2 stats personnel on the field at every game.
  16. Michael is a great QB and an even better person. He's the type of guy that you want on your side in battle. Time after time he has taken a serious hit in order to complete a pass. Carson Palmer could learn something from this kid about physical toughness!! He has a great support system and family. #7 has his head in the right spot. Rifle arm, tremendous accuracy, and a smart player. I can't see these records broken for years to come. Congratulations Michael! Great post JDOMAX!
  17. It is Senior Night for the Camels so the team will be jacked up. Nobody wants to lose their last regular season home game. However, the Camels have an opportunity to get some players healthy by resting them for the game that really counts and to work on their "running game".
  18. Great post. I totally agree SK. The folks from Independence have a great thing going and one poster gives you a black eye. I enjoyed the electric atmosphere and the beautiful facilities (both the football field and surrounding venues). If UKfan loves the SK program, he'll put his hands in his pockets for a awhile and cool it with the keyboard. This is the first time that I saw SK play post-Miles. I was impressed with the Pioneers on both sides of the ball. Congratulations on a nice win!
  19. Of course your not going to make any more posts on this topic. Your comments have totally discredited you on this website! 1) So for every 1,000 Brossart students (past/present), 999 live in Campbell County? What a ridiculous statement! 2) I don't know what newspaper you are reading? Based on your math score above, I now question your ability to read. 3) Brossart is a "PRIVATE" institution of learning. Does private stand for not publishing their test scores? You insist on bashing the education of CC students. Based on what I have read, you may want to consider some remedial courses.
  20. Cooper gets their first 6A win with a 28-21 win on a last minute drive over Conner.
  21. Very talented player. Ultra fast. Great balance. The Jaguar running game faltered after his departure. If he had stayed in the game, the final score may have favored Cooper. Camels lead 28-14 at the half. The Camel offense went to sleep in the second half. Lots of dropped balls. However, good to see the running game revived with Glasgow, Popp. and Kremer.
  22. I totally agree. I hear that Highlands may be starting up their own website for their bloggers called... "BluebirdPreps.com" complete with links to Ft. Thomas real estate listings and a "how to" guide for making the back of your school look like a walking billboard.
  23. Thanks for coming out for the game nkysports.com. Should be an exciting night. FYI.....I hear that the Campbell County 2010 3A Girl's State Track & Field Champions will be honored in pre-game. As far as the game, I like the Fighting Camels by 2 TDs (28-14).
  24. I witnessed last week as Travis Elliott took perhaps one of the most bone rattling blows ever in a high school game vs. Campbell County. He was limping severely, it appeared that his jaw was fractured, and that he incurred a posssible concussion. For Travis to have even played in this game is an amazing feat and shows the heart of a lion. Unbelievable! Congrats to both teams. Too bad there had to be a losing squad.
  25. Camels in a shootout 34-24.
