Campbell County 19 Ryle 13 (JV)
I believe that his name is Jajouri Lewis. He had a great game on both sides of the ball. I thought that Joe Frank (Head Ref) did a classy thing by stopping play until the ambulance left the stadium sideline. Your're right. Nice effort by both teams.

Boone County vs. Campbell County Predictions
CC discovered something about themsleves in the 4th Quarter of the NCC contest.....they can score quickly and often! Hopefully that momentum carries over to 6A District play. The Camels are due for a win over Boone at home. Camels by a TD.

Scott Code to Thomas More College
Congratulations to Coach Code. He is a fine man and great family guy. I was saddened to see him go but I know that he will find success in his new role.

Campbell County 2010
You are partially correct. The "crumb rubber" was applied (perhaps 8-9 years ago) long before the field went to Bermuda. The non-Bermuda grass could not take the heat generated by the crumb rubber. After a few years, it was thought that Bermuda would do better with the heat generated by the rubber mix. The idea behind the crumb rubber was that it would make for a "softer" playing surface which would reduce player injuries. There are varying opinions on whether the rubber did what it was supposed to do.

Campbell County 2010
The challenge every year with the Bermuda grass @ CC is to: choke out (kill) the non-Bermuda grasses/weeds that invade the field in the spring and to get mother nature to cooperate with the right combination of heat and rainfall. Last week, the grounds crew applied chemicals to kill off the non-Bermuda grasses/weeds (thus the yellowish field color).

Boone County 71 Campbell County 40
I have seen both BC and NCC play CC. IMO, NCC is no match for the Rebels. They have the complete package -- size, team speed, passing, dribble penetration, shooting, team chemistry, strong bench, and.......Nell. If a "rolling stone gathers no Moss" then the converse is a "rolling Rebel team is nearly unstoppable with Moss".

Natalie Penrod 10th Region Player of the Year
Congratulations "Lightning" Rod. You strike without warning! Good Luck tonight.....:thumb:

Campbell County 28 Cooper 20
Cooper certainly heading in the right direction. Camels gave up 3 big plays for scores (kick-off return, long run, long pass) which kept the Jaguars in the game. First trip to Cooper. Beautiful school and nice football complex.

Dixie Coach Rudd
Deep sadness from Camel land. We stand in prayerful support of the Rudd family during this difficult time.

Campbell County 21 Newport Central Catholic 17
The Camels seemed flat until Johnson's exciting catch & touchdown run to make it 17-14. IMO, this was the turning point of the game. Next NCC series, fumble/turnover. CC then went deep to Smith setting up the Kramer TD run. The Kelly kid had a great game but he's overworked. I'm not sure he came out of the game? Tough kid and good player. Plays with a great deal of heart & passion!

2009 Campbell County
2008 was a year filled with promise for the Camels. An abundance of skill players and talent that never fully came together as CC went 5-5 losing their final 3 to SK & NCC (close finishes) and a blow-out to Dixie (with nothing left to play for but pride -- and there was little shown by the Camels in that one). In 2009, the Camels have some key position players back (Koeninger -- LB, Johnson -- RB, Eshman -- WR/QB) along with a strong group of underclassmen. IMO, the Camels must garner a "take no prisoners" attitude and play to win vs. "play not to lose". I understand their schedule will include 2 Ohio teams early in the season (Norwood & Roger Bacon?) along with CovCath.

Best Senior To Be In NKY!
I'll go with Zach Koeninger of Campbell. Will be one of the top LB's in No. Ky this year. Strong, fast, intense, hits extremely hard, and loves the game. I understand that he's getting some D1 looks (UC among others). Reminds of a taller and perhaps faster version of the Camels Matt Sauerbeck from a few years back. You gotta like Simpson from SK though. Barring injury, he should garner some All-State consideration.

Campbell County/Montgomery County Predictions
Kitchen drains a 3 at the buzzer following a drive in the lane and kick out by Bowling. Camels by 1. Good Luck Lady Camels!

10th Region predictions
Little credit to the Lady Camels? They are playing good team ball and have the players to make a run. MC should not overlook them. I'll take the Camels in an upset.

Congratulations to the Lady Camels, the Senior leadership of this Team, and Coach Ed Cravens. Good Luck @ Regionals!!:thumb:

Ashland Tomcats / Dixie Heights Colonels Predictions
Having seen both Dixie (last week) and Ashland (pre-season), I'm looking for a big Dixie win. I realize that so much can change in a 10 week period but Dixie is playing very hungry football right now. Good Luck Dixie!

Tates Creek/Conner Predictions
Conner is in a groove. Campbell handed TC their first loss of the season pretty handily. As I recall, TC's QB is very fast once he decides to take off. If Conner contains him, they'll come away with the the "W". Good Luck Cougars!

Eta Rho -- I never said the "WHOLE" O and D. I said "SEVERAL". Don't confuse my English. Do you really believe that you saw the same Camels Team that had NCC on their heels just a week ago? An Eta Rho man would know better than that!

Dixie Heights 56 Campbell County 7
I am not aware of any CC Seniors quitting. For any football fan that has followed the Camels this season, you do realize that last night's starting D and O were made up of many JV players. The Camels experienced 2 consecutive disappointing losses back-to-back (SK and NCC). CC had a 7 point lead and the ball with less than 5 minutes in the NCC game and turned the ball over (fumble) on that possession. The emotional toll and disappointment of these losses lead to several key players missing a film session last week. Coach Styer disciplined these players by benching them for the first half of last night's game. While I admire Coach Styer's position, please remember that these are teenage boys that at times make unhealthy choices. They were wrong for letting their Team down. Dixie was spotted a 28-7 lead before the "1st Team" D or O ever saw the field. Dixie has a nice Team but don't be foolish enough to believe that your win last night was primarily the result of improved play or that they dominated a good 6A Team. That attitude will get you bounced early in the playoffs. I did admire Dixie's running game last night. They utilize several hard charging backs to effectively establish a solid ground attack. Congratulations to Dixie and Good Luck in the playoffs!

Campbell County 28 Ryle 8 (Frosh)
CC 28 -- Ryle 8. It was 28-0 @ half. Camels dominated in 1st Half. Ryle came on a little stronger in the 2nd Half. Congrats to Doug Miller as the Camels go 9-1. Ryle finishes 7-3 under Coach Rudd. Two very good coaches IMO. :thumb:

Campbell County 39 Boone County 6 (Frosh)
The Curry (#28) and Stuck (#21) RBs for Boone Co looked good. Hard runners and they never quit playing. I agree. CC had too many weapons on both sides of the ball. James Popp (#22) and Cameron Addy (#14) had great games in the Camel backfield. The CC QB (Skinner #3) played smart all night. #88 (Harmon) is a monster at D End...what a wingspan! Congrats to the Camels and Coach Doug Miller on a great season (8-1). Good Luck vs. Ryle next week.:thumb:
