  1. I just read in the paper that Fairview players took the F's off of their helmets. That's seems unbelievable to me. There is no way that you could have taken my teams logo off of my helmet! As a fan, this is unacceptable!!!
  2. the principal was making the decision and in the meeting. You don't hear that part. What ever decisions were made by her on other issues does not mean she was wrong about this. Too many personal agendas. That is what this is about. Great decision regarding the football coach. Also good man does't equal good coach and what Is the best for football kids. It Equals good old boy system. Watch out for GRC in 2012! Great Head coach in place now. Her grandson is a teen, current player, and classless that a kid is thrown in the middle of this thing IMO.
  3. i also know a close source and the facts are that paul columbia was 3-8 last year on a team that had a 2000 yard rusher. They have only won 3 playoff games in his 13 years as head coach and two of those were in the same year. Only one district championship. Opponents of GRC are more than a little nervios he is gone. Ms. Farris made the right call based on facts and what is best for the student athletes of GRC. 50 people showed up in a town of 30,000. Not that impressive to me. Realize she is his wife and might not have the best interest of the kids in mind. GRC players are VERY happy to have a new direction and should make noise this next year.
  4. 22-0 Rams in 2nd quarter.
  5. Thanks Oldrambler for the updates! Go Rams!
  6. Hit Catch Throw! Brings back a lot of memories in 2008! I'm glad you are back! I know you love beating Greenup. Go Rams!
  7. Grc is lucky! Could have been bad for next week.
  8. Just two players ejected? Both teams on the field fighting!
  9. Rumor has it that Reed did not agree with the new Musketeer motto – "Sacrifice, Commitment, Carter."
  10. Ryan Williams had around 240 yards rushing .........second all time in GRC History for a single game!! STUD.
  11. I don't think I would listen to the opinions of rival fans. I hope for coach Columbia sake you are still not on the sidelines for the game on Saturday. I would say Coach Columbia trusts you and others like you that are in his sidelines. I think this is a glimpse of what me going on at GRC. Coaches need 100% support from schools/community.
  12. It is always the coaches fault. I hate to hear fans/players talk bad about coaches. Excuses are the first signs of a LOSER. It is easy to blame coaches or use them as an excuse for losing. Support the school/coaches you root for! Go GRC!
  13. I heard that Clark County looked pretty good throwing the ball around. Andrew Dini, the QB is only a sophomore and threw several nice balls making some good reads in most of the games. Any one else's thoughts?
  14. Scott County is a very good team. However, Clark Co. had many opportunities to win the game. Clark Co. scored on it's first two posessions, dominating the Scott Co. defense. They were catching up the entire game. A turnover and special teams play (kick off for TD) were the difference in the game. Scott CO. DID NOT DOMINATE. THey were very lucky to win the game. Just ask the coach, he was scared to death before the game. He knew his Cardinals (Scott CO) may lose. Ask anyone if they want to play Clark in the playoffs. ..................... Any takers????????????:sssh:
  15. Game moved to 8:00. Time to do a little more tailgating!
  16. Glad to have you Curtis. Thanks for the info.
  17. They both had great Senior years. Jones has verbally committed to Western Kentucky University. Greene is still being actively recruited by several schools. They will be difficult to replace, but I think the GRC Cards will be very good next year.
  18. Great Win!! Simply put, we won the game.... I was on on the 96 team and all I remeber is win or loss (luckily we won most of the time and its 10 years later). As far as coach or parent request for the trucks, I think that it was a COMMUNITY DECISION!! I brought my wife to the Raceland game for the first time, who is from Central Kenrtucky (went to Tates Creek and teaches at Henry Clary, both 4a), and she was blown away by the support from the Raceland community. We are talking about big time programs with a history of success. It started by driving in downtown Raceland and seeing all the signs encouraging the players posted on every telephone pole. I kind of teared up because I had told her many stories about the town pf Raceland shutting down for games on Friday night even while I played college football at Centre College. I told her, college football (football everywhere) was a let down in regards to support compared to RACELAND!!! Then her eyes lit up when the trucks came by my house after the Greenup win. After high school, these kids are going to look back and say, remember when those trucks escorted us in after every road win?? If our community wants to escort our team in................who cares. NO ONE In LEXINGTON GETS THIS KIND OF TREATMENT and I think it is a good thing for us!!! I am jealous where I coach now (central Kentucky) in that we don't have 1/4th the community support as Raceland has and we have 25 thousand people in our city. Simply put, if you can argue whether firetrucks should ecsort your team or not, then you don't have many problems!!!! I LOVE RACELAND! Family Tradition....................sing it boys
  19. This is going to be a good game! Looking at some of the predictions the rams are supposed to be big favorites. However, the rams have never blown out the Greenup County. I don't see that trend changing tonight.
  20. "Orange Crush" This reminds me that the 1996 undefeated team will be having a 10 year reunion before the game in the old gym Lobby. This is before the Rowan Co. Game this Friday.
