midee1 Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 What is everyone's take on the game???? From listening to the Ashland/Raceland game and seeing the Greenup/Russell game. The Rams should win this one handily.
FBALL Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 From listening to the Ashland/Raceland game and seeing the Greenup/Russell game. The Rams should win this one handily. You should know it's not very smart to pick a game by comparing scores from common opponents. Raceland though should win this game. They have a big advantage in team speed. Greenup should make this a game however. To take a page from midee 1, both of these teams have one common opponent in East Carter. Although they both pretty much had their way with the Raiders, the Rams should come out of this one with the unbeaten record in tact.
cvillecat Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 When these two teams play you can toss the records out the window. It will be a battle. These players have known & played each other over the years and several have been team mates on their summer baseball teams so this will make for some great fun between the kids. The Rams will have to play a complete game and come in focused as Greenup County will be ready to play and do everything in their power to make the Rams 3-1. The Seniors would like to go out defeating GC two years in a row so I am sure they are focused at the task at hand. Just a note to the Rams players, enjoy your headlines but don't soak up to much of what you read, GC cares nothing that you are ranked or undefeated. Remember your goals and practice hard to reach them. Good luck. Raceland= 27 Greenup Co.=20
MVP_007 Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 It is very true, when these two teams play you might as well throw the records out the window. I know for a fact that the Raceland seniors will not let this one slip away. They are focused and will be more prepared for this game then they have been all season. I think it will be a very hard fought game on both sides. I just dont see G.C. handling the athletes Raceland has on offense or the being able to take the punishment Raceland gives out on defense. Raceland is focused and determined. :fight: :madman: RACELAND RAMS 34 G.C. 6

Raceland just needs to continue to work hard and stay focused and I think that the Excellent Ram Coaching staff will stress that this week in practice. Raceland's defense is really playing well along with the special teams. I believe that this is the main reason for our sucsess so far this season. The Ram offense can put up points on anyone but in the previous years we were giving up way too many on defense. This group is getting back to the tough Rams defense of the past and that is what will carry this team. Makes no difference how many points you score if the other team scores more. "Offense sells the tickets-Defense wins the championships!" Getting back to this game, you can bet that GCHS will be focused and ready and the Raceland players have to match and surpass this intensity. GO RAMS!!!! :flame: :flame:

Kick Posted September 3, 2006 Posted September 3, 2006 I expect this game to be closer than what most people expect. Raceland wins by a touchdown. 28-21
Blue Blazer Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Raceland wins with a running clock in the 2nd half! I'll predict Raceland by more than 40!
cvillecat Posted September 4, 2006 Posted September 4, 2006 Raceland wins with a running clock in the 2nd half! I'll predict Raceland by more than 40! WOW!! I hope you are correct, if not, get ready for the Saturday morning call in show as you will be the featured guest>
bball observer Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I think that Blue Blazer likes to be the theme on Saturday morning. He sorta lends him self to the conversation.
MVP_007 Posted September 5, 2006 Posted September 5, 2006 I have heard several rumors that G.C. will have some players suspended for the game friday. With or without the suspensions, I still see the Rams winning big.
