WOW!!! Too close for this old man. GCHS plays one heck of a game while penalties and turnovers hurt Raceland. I will wait for other posters who were at the game. Way to go Rams, 4-0   This may be good, now we can work on our mistakes and get ready for LCA. Benji Mullins named player of the game. (HUGE punt return for TD late)

Thanks for the updates oldrambler, they sure make the game more enjoyable. Eric Craft of GC had a great second half...almost too great!

:thumb: I knew that his one would be a lot closer than most people were saying. GCHS came in ready to play. Just glad to get out of Lloyd with a win.

Solid start to the season for the Rams. Now let's watch Aaron Pettrey carry the banner tomorrow, against Texas...

Congrats to the Raceland Rams. It sure sounds like it was a dandy of a ballgame in Llyod tonight. I heard Coach Vanderhoof on the Kentucky High School show as I was coming home from the Ashland game. He stated that they had a huge punt return late in the game. It's good to see the Rams get recognition through out the state, even though the one host kept calling him Coach Vanderhoot. :irked:

I would have posted sooner, but got caught behind the firetruck escort, for a non district, regular season win.

Hand it to Greenup's defense in the second half. They held Raceland to somewhere between 0 and -14 yards offense after the Ramblers rolled up about 190 in the first half. Congrats to both teams for a great effort.

Again, or are you just being sarcastic?

I hope that he is just being sarcastic, TBF can do that (all in good fun). He does seem to have a problem with the fire trucks though.

I'm not being sarcastic. I honestly got caught behind the fire trucks and buses trying to get to my exit off US 23!

Yes, Benji Mullins brought one back late that put the Rams back out in front after they had lost the lead. The way I took it from the radio broadcast is that the Raceland defense and special teams carried the Rams along with a strong running game in the first half.

Maybe your complaing about it before has caused them to do it now just to spite you.

Not to knock anyone's celebrations, they're entitled to do whatever they please, but let's say Raceland wins the Region this year in football, or even advances farther than that. How will they celebrate a huge victory like that? It would seem to me that the fire truck escort wouldn't mean that much since it seems to be the norm.

Again, or are you just being sarcastic?

It sure seems that way!! We will save the big celebration when the finals gun sounds!!
