Holy Cross (Cov) Vs. Boone County Predictions
Just don't think either team is going to run away from the other in this one.
-
Second Round Newcath / Holy Cross
For HC to keep this one close they need another monster effort from Phillip Moore and their defense has to play much better than it did last night
-
Holy Cross 32 Lloyd 30 (2A)
the 2 feature backs in this game had to account for almost 500 yards. Chappie for Lloyd had to have close to 200 and Moore for HC had to be approaching 300.

Lloyd at Holy Cross: Predictions
HC defensively has been solid all year. First time out against Lloyd they stuffed the run, and Lloyd receivers could not get any seperation. If Lloyd can't establish the run look for the same result as last time, multiple int's for HC. If Lloyd can get the run game going and only pass when they want not when they have too this game should be a good one. HC isn't going to light up the scoreboard on any one unless aided by TO's. I look for HC in a low scorer.

Newport/Holy Cross Predictions
Having seen both teams play this season Newport will have to play awfully good or HC will have to play awfully bad for this one to be close. With that said either is possible.
-
Holy Cross at Beechwood
HC will have to play almost perfect to pull this one off, but this is a team that is improving.
-
Cov. Holy Cross 38 Lloyd 28
HC played a pretty good game today but they can't continue to make bone head decisions, the personal foul when a drive would have been over and 2 offsides penalties on third and one have to stop if they want any shot in the playoffs.

Holy Cross/ Lloyd Predictions
What do you think, who's the winner and why

Covington Holy Cross 13 North Laurel 10
The game was played at South Laurel. Big win for the Indians

2007/2008 Holy Cross (Covington)
The Bass kid was measured at 6'8" and weighed well over 300lbs and like I said he looked even bigger when I saw him over the summer. As for guarding at the varsity level you're right he has along way to go but I don't think they will put him in a position where he has to guard someone that can take him away from the basket. Look for a lot of zone when he is in and he will definitely clog the middle.

2007/2008 Holy Cross (Covington)
Haven't seen him play this summer but did see him out he is taller and mabe a smidge thinner, I know the HC staff has been doing everything they can to improve his conditioning. If he can stay on the court for any kind of a stretch at all he will give them alot of rebounds and some mop up points around the goal. As for a low post threat he still has some work to do.

2007/2008 Holmes
They have to replace a lot of scoring, defensively they will be fine. It will be interesting to see if the 2 transfers live up to their hype. If they do it might come down to the same 2 teams it comes down to every year.

2007/2008 Holy Cross (Covington)
They will have an inside presence, the question is how much can they get out of him. I saw him over the summer and I don't think he is ever going to stop growing. He has a long way to go especially with stamina but I don't think I have ever seen a larger 15 yr old.

Top QB's this year in '07
I do not know what the KHSAA rules are regarding this, I was simply passing along info that I had received from a relaiable friend.

Top QB's this year in '07
It is my understanding that he and his dad took an apartment in the NR school district so he could play for his dad so there would be a change of address back to his original home. I have also heard he has already been cleared.

Brossart home games
The Bermuda of Holmes High School holds up very well to the wear and tear of 2 varsity teams. Admittingly Holy Cross has taken the burden of Middle school football off of the field but nonetheless 2 varsity 1 jv and 1 freshman still play there. As for compensation any rent payed along with concession money that I believe CC is keeping will more than pay for the wear and tear of 5 extra games.

2007 Covington Holy Cross
Heard the same thing, even made it sound like he has already been cleared by the KHSAA

2007 Covington Holy Cross
Just curious has anybody seen any Holy Cross 7 on 7 and if so did Cody participate and how did he look.

2007 Covington Holy Cross
I have heard the same rumor if it is true it will be a huge boost, it will allow them to keep West at wide out, he is their only experienced rec.. I have not seen the kid in question since his 8th grade year at HC, but I heard he has grown alot and will really improve the program. With that said they will have to count on some sophmores to produce big if they are to have any shot come playoff time.

Who from Kentucky signed to play for Hanover???
That Staubitz kid is a stud. I saw him play only a couple times this year and he was catching back side sweeps. I thought he was going to Dayton though?

NKY Stadiums
As for as best NKY facilities nothing beats the grass at Scott and Holmes early in the season. Highlands with its closeness to the field has the best atmosphere.
-
NKY Stadiums
HC has visions of one day having Varsity games at the Rosedale site but first they have to find a way into the facility other than their current option. There has been talk of the trailer park adjacent to the field being purchased and a road opened up from Decoursey, but it seems they are miles from getting that done.

Cov. Cath vs Cov Holy Cross Predictions
Will Cov Cath's pressure D turnover HC and lead to easy baskets, or will HC's length give Cov Cath's shooters fits.I am very interested to see how Jacobs and Sorrell stack up against each other on the same court. Any way you see it, it looks like another entertaining game between these 2 rivals.

Holy Cross 66 Boone Co 52
Good win for HC. They are very long and that will give most 9th region teams fits. Played very well in the first half but were a little sloppy in the second when BC tried to pressure to get back in it. We'll find out friday if that was because of 2 games in 2 days and trying to protect a lead, or if it will be a future problem. As for Sorrell, I have seen 6 NKY teams and only Hill and Jacobs are better scorers. From what I have seen easily the most improved player in the 9th.
