Well look at this. People didn't beleive me when I was talking HC and Surrell up about two weeks ago. They are for real. Don't look at their record. Their competition has been as hard as anybody's in the 9th. Surrell and Co. will make noise in the 9th.

 

Speaking of Surrell, how'd he do tonight.

Definitely balanced scoring for HC. One of their strengths this year is that you really can't key on one or two players. They have 5 players who are capabale of double digit scoring night in night out. On the flip side, they also only have 7 or so players who are able to play competively in the big games. Depth may hurt them in a tournament situation like the All A or the State, if they are fortunate enough to reach one or the other.

Nice win for the Indians. I'll be the first to admit I was completely wrong about them.

Good win for HC. They are very long and that will give most 9th region teams fits. Played very well in the first half but were a little sloppy in the second when BC tried to pressure to get back in it. We'll find out friday if that was because of 2 games in 2 days and trying to protect a lead, or if it will be a future problem.

 

As for Sorrell, I have seen 6 NKY teams and only Hill and Jacobs are better scorers. From what I have seen easily the most improved player in the 9th.
