No I don't dispute that he could have been asked. LCA has many rules and regulations. I don't know for 100% sure but in my educated opinion Coach Rains resigned on his own terms.

I think the issue is personal with Coach Rains and his family. I'm sure no one on here would want people spreading things about our family and job. High school coaches are different from NFL and College coaches.

Will there be a coach stepping up from the program or will they go outside of it?

Any idea who will be interviewed for the job?

They lost QB and RB but probably have 3 more to replace each of them. Boyle will be tough to beat.

Should be a good season. East has a lot of Seniors and Juniors this season. Every skill kid is back and most of the line as well. The line is anchored by Zack Templin. He is getting some looks from DI schools. WKU, UL, UK, Illinois along with EKU. Defense should be better and the offense should be improved as well. I would look for East to be in every game this season. The biggest games will be versus Catholic and Boyle. Hopefully they will compete this year.

I wonder if he wanted to move schools because Danville struggled and Boyle Co. won state? That's why I would transfer. I agree with the KHSAA on this one.

He is a pretty good coach. He knows the Franklin system well. Also was a OC/DC at Henry Clay for a while. Most coaches at LCA are hands off in the off season so I'm not sure about the training aspect (they have a school provided weight trainer). As long as he can handle the public relations side of being a HC he should do fine.

LCA will have a lot to replace. They should still compete to win district, but will probably lose some none district games.

If that is true then Woodford just lost their head coach and OC.

Graham Heasley is the new coach at West Jessamine. He was the OC at Woodford Co. I guess West will be making a adjustment from the option to the system next season.

You will never make it past Boyle, Catholic, and now Holmes in the playoffs, unless they are really down and you are really up. Henry is in a much better situation, IMO.

He coached at Harrison for a number of years. I would say that he after winning a championship at LCA he is ready to be a head coach again. Of the 3 places he has been interviewing at I would rank them 1. Henry Co. 2. Franklin 3. West Jessamine

Mediocre, not horrible though.

I'm not sure they have started interviewing yet. One name I have heard is Ray Graham, but that is from a secondary source.

It's how 90% of the school systems work. No matter where you go people try to help their friends out. Their friends may or may not be the best candidate but they feel comfortable with hiring them. Best of luck to MC and coach Browne.
