Bluto
What year is his son at LCA? He will be a senior. (I just found out about this tonight.) Coach Rains will be missed.

mcpapa
So, LCA loses its head FB coach and its AD at the same time a few weeks before school starts? A double whammy for sure.
EROCK15
Ray Graham will take over. Why else would you leave a head coaching job to be an assistant? To take over as head coach to the team u went to, I would think. With that being said, I hate to see Rains leave but Graham will be a great replacement at LCA. MountainThunder
This is a big shocker to me. Especially the timing of it. Rains has built a powerhouse program at LCA and when he does decide to get back into coaching, I am sure he will have no problem finding a job. mcraycraft
"Family and personal issues" can take a toll on a person. And knowing Coach Rains, if he could not coach with his head in it 100% he was not going to coach at all. He will be back.
UCRN
Best wishes to Coach Rains. The LCA program is in geat hands with Coach Graham. He's a fine coach and an exemplary man!
cellking
Good Luck Paul, it want be long until he is back in Coaching. We are good friends and I wish him the best. Ray is a friend of mine and he will do a great job. LCA is in good Hands.
sidelinedoc
I am shocked! Coach Vanderhoof resigns from Raceland and now Coach Rains from LCA. Both programs are in good hands, though.
mcraycraft
What year is his son at LCA? The 2009 LCA roster lists him as a Sophomore so I guess he will be a Junior this fall.
