I would expect a close game and pick the Birds to win by a FG.

I would be very surprised if Conner scored more than one TD in this one. Could be low scoring or a Camel route. Either way, the Camels get a win here.

Both teams are improved from last year. Ryle won by 34 last year at Holmes. Holmes will have to play superior ball to hang around for 4 quarters in this one. Ryle's homecoming = Raider victory. Only the margin is in question.

I expect a game that goes down to the wire like last year's contest. Very important game for both teams. If SK loses, they have an uphill battle for a playoff spot. Dixie can rebound from a loss but it will be tough for them, too. Remember, Dixie has to play at Boone, Campbell and Ryle so the Red Colonels must hold serve at home IMO in this rivalry game.

I agree with cshs. Conner would beat any of those 5 teams. As to me listing Campbell as #5, I think the Camel D will prove to be the second best D in NKY 4A. That D will keep them in every game and I predict they will win 2 games out of the big 3 left on their schedule (Boone/SK/Dixie).

Best swarming D I've seen at Ryle in the years I have watched them. They are not only tough and quick, but fly to the ball as a team. Campbell had two very nice long pass completions where the Ryle back was in good position but the ball was thrown perfectly and the receivers made good grabs. I did not see an explosive back like Popp from last year and that was the biggest difference. Brown throws better than last year and looks like a good leader and certainly can take a hit. I see the Camels as a 4A playoff team.

Most of the TO's were caused by solid hits on the football or pressure on the QB that caused bad throws. The only thing the Camels gave us was a bad snap on a punt. I don't call forced turnovers freebies. Ryle took care of the football, Campbell did not.

Ryle's 3 players returned but our QB did not have a good game. Campbell is a good football team and will make the playoffs IMO. Ryle just hit a ton and forced a lot of TO's on great hits. Good job Raiders. Ryle had one TD and another close to TD run by Murray and Gray called back by dumb penalties. This game could have been much worse.

I do not see PSW scoring vs. the Birds #1D. Could well be a running clock affair with the Birds hungry for a W after playing darn well vs. Purple Nation and X-men.

Camels will be pumped, no doubt. I see them as a solid team with about the same capabilities as last year. Ryle is much improved. Camels must force some TO's, not fall behind early and take advantage of short field situations. If they do those 3 things, they can think about winning a tight game. The higher the score, the less chance the Camels have of pulling an upset. I would think Ryle has an edge in the kicking game but I have not seen Campbell play so I am just guessing.

I had not seen a thread on this key NKY 4A district game. SK has not yet been tested and Boone has played much better competition. I see this as a very close game. If SK is as improved as everyone says, they should win this game at home. Haven't seen either team personally but would expect a close game decided by turnovers.

Conner has certainly played better competition than Holmes to this point and that will help the Cougars. The lower the score, the better chance for Conner to win. It's hard for me to believe it will not be a pretty close game.

Dunbar gets into the win column here in a fairly close game. I would think that the loser will not make the playoffs.

Your analysis of Ryle's games that you probably did not see is not accurate but that does not matter. All 3 games so far mean nothing. This game is a big game for both teams. Campbell was probably the best 4A team in the state last year not to make the playoffs. Should be a great game. I think Ryle gets their #1 QB back this week and that is a plus for the Raiders.

I was not referring to offense necessarily. Obviously, Doug and Vic are the two best running backs in the state. I was just saying that Scott and Vince are the type of players that would start somewhere for any team in the state.

If the Raiders start to play well offensively, they will win a lot of games pretty big IMO and may not have many close games until the playoffs. They hit hard and have good team speed to the ball on D and they run the ball with authority. They've had a lot of practice during the first 3 weeks with teams stacking up against the run. Their success will depend on offensive improvement in the air over the year and that is very likely. Vince Murray and Scott Gray are extremely talented and tough players - fun to watch and would start for any teams in Kentucky.
