Boone County 29 Simon Kenton 15

Nice win for the Rebels.

Wow. The updates at the Dixie game were 15-2 and then 15-9. I really didn't expect this final.

The victory by Boone does not surprise me but the margin does. I'm going to guess #4 had a big game for BC.

Hats off to Boone Co., I was dead wrong about this one. I thought the 'Neers would get it done.

There is absolutley no excuse for sk to lose that game. They were up 15-2 and then they just quit playing. It sickened me to watch the second half. No enthusiasm, no excitement, no anything.

The offense was the reason they lost the game. Poor o-line play, and poor quarterback play in the second half. Don't get me wrong I love Josh Elbert, but the second half might have been the worst i've seen him play. Now granted the o-line didn't give him tons of time, but he did not look comfortable when he dropped back. I am very very dissapointed in them, but i look for them to bounce back against dixie... hopefully....

SK's kicking game is an adventure. You never know what is going to happen.

Farris could not be stopped not sure how much yardage he had:cry:

Boone was rushing 8or9 guys Elbert didnt have time to do anything.

Tommy Gibson had a decent game.He ran the opening kick off back to the Boone 15 yard line and caught a 68 yard touchdown pass:ylsuper:

Dixie is definitely missing him this year.

BC did score with about one minute left to push their margin to 14 after SK went 4 and out on their last possession, BC took over on or about the SK 15 or so. I agree with Stallion, I could tell by the body language of the SK players on their last two drives, you would have thought they trailed by a ton not just one score. Farris had a nice game but BC killed SK on 3rd and long tonight, the biggest play of the game occured with the game tied at 15's, 3rd and long for the Rebs, SK has great coverage on the TE, Larkins levels him the ball is deflected into the hands of a BC recevier, a play or two later Farris goes 49 for six. SK needed this game, upset they played so lackluster after a two week break. Still early but they have a ton of work left.

I thought SK would get this one.

But then again, we are hitting district time and that is when BC really starts to gel.
