  1. When you miss a tall player in Kimbro it forces you to adjust your entire line-up and takes the guards and makes them POWER FORWARDS AND CENTERS instead of playing their natural positions. Manual adjusted to a entirely new system with a 3rd coach. Then adjusted to a defecting starter after two games. Then Kimbro is out for a few games after winning the LIT. Manual does not have a deep bench even with Kimbro playing is especially thin at the 4 and 5 spots. It makes a difference when you are playing 7 or 8 TOP 20 teams in 10 games.
  2. Can you please post the rankings without having us go to .pdf?
  3. It's the 7th region. You either suit up and play hard or you get beat. Seneca is rated around the 8th best team in the 7th as was ROSE HILL was rated around 8th best in the 16th. What happened to Elliott?
  4. And that means you have not seen Mack and Hopson.
  5. Hood is having a good year in his region. Then they played a 6th region team in DeSales and lost by 16 and hood went 6 for 16 from the field and 0 for 5 from the arc. 2009 will be a good race. Mack is a player that makes his team go. Completely fills the stat lines and keeps his teammates involved at the same time is what makes the Defenders tough to beat. Bryan Station has very little height and Mack at 6-2 is one of the taller players and you'll find him defending the post as well. Mack would be a fine choice and so would Miller.
  6. Does that mean all of the teams that beat Rose Hill would beat Elliott County by your reasoning?
  7. Winning is important, not how many tickets are sold at the gate.
  8. It happens at nearly every school. Pumping stat lines to help a kid accolades. About the only thing that is appropriately reported is points scored and for the most part FG% and 3pt%.
  9. You are probably right. Rose Hill has earned its night. Congrats goes to them for working to improve and believing they could win.
  10. Only because Morgan is another 16th region team and not a top 25 team. I don't think it is fair to knock Morgan like that just because they are a team that doesn't match up.
  11. Louisville and Lexington combined may have not put in more than five D1 players last year, Louisville only had two that I know of. Who are the offers from?
  12. The entire state of Kentucky put about 10 or so kids into D1 hoops low, mid, high major, how in the world can one 16th region team have that many D1 prospects? Who are the offers from? Just curious.
  13. I think the premise of this thread is to be "sarcastic." LOL.
  14. Amazing, Rose Hill is 5 - 5 over their last 10 games with losses to Moss Point (by 10), Centennial (by 2), Lexington Christian (by 5), Fairdale (by 7), and Manual (by 25). Is Rose Hill turning the corner? Nice win.
  15. Intense defense. Loves to run. Can play halfcourt game. Their main guy is Shelvin Mack at 6-2 and committed to Butler U.
  16. Manual beat 3 top 20 teams in less than 3 days and yet are ranked 5th in the 7th region alone after winning the LIT title. And now will face two more top 15 teams in their next three games. Wow!
  17. The bench played a huge role in every game. And it's true, Manual doesn't play to showcase. Some numbers for the title run. Jenkins was the top scorer with 16 points per game while hitting over 60% from over the field and made half of his 3's. Kimbro averaged at 11 points but cleared 9 boards per game. Unreal number for a freshman. Williams struggled from the field but led Manual in assists at 6 per game and averaged 14 points. Samsel had a big game against J'Town off the bench and the 6-9 sophomore Alex Nicholic (sp) was huge defensively and rebouding off the bench throughout the tournament too. Lawson who was quietly getting the job done defensively during the tourney came alive in a crucial overtime to score 7 points to cap the title. Result, Manuals first LIT crown since 1959.
  18. Cosby is a loss for Manual, but they still have a lot talent and two legit D-1 players there in Kimbro Jr and Jenkins. Manual has some of the best offensive talents in the state. But the key is, those offensive talents are now becoming defensive players too.
  19. Good try sneaking Penny in there. He'll have to learn to do more than shoot layups in the weak 8th region to be the top senior next year.
  20. Beating three top 15 teams straight (J-Town, DeSales, Eastern), Manual captures the Louisville Invitational with a win over Eastern in overtime. Aaron Williams, Jacob Jenkins, and Tony Kimbro Jr. make all tourney team. It was a well-balanced attack with Williams leading is assists per game, Jenkins in points per game, and Kimbro in rebound per game for the event. After playing that tournament and schedule, the reward is a matchup with top 10 ranked Ballard Wednesday night. All-tournament team: Jacob Jenkins, Tony Kimbro Jr., Aaron Williams (Manual); Delquan Thomas, Dominique Sangester, Steven Ferguson (Eastern); T.J. Pryor, Ian Chiles (Ballard); Jeff Mullaney, James Melloan (DeSales); Ridge Wilson (Central); Nick Gagel (Jeffersontown); Jon Hood (Madisonville-North Hopkins).
  21. What school's have offered Matt or are recruitin him? He's an outstanding person.
  22. ShooterX2...how did Phares and Portwood do??? What happened???
