  1. Who does Henderson have offers from now? Sounds like he's having a great year.
  2. Very rarely does he hit a jumper. It's not me you need to convince. He's a solid high school player without a doubt. Minnis is a player that does not get much exposure, but that is changing. Should be a good game coming up with Anderson and Shelby.
  3. SK had star power from their PG. Shelby has no one getting hype. But from a record standpoint, SC is 10-0 with a couple of nice wins and they are fast become that "clear" frontrunner.
  4. Add Tyshawn Edmundson, a senior at UHA. Did a great job on Noel Johnson in helping UHA win.
  5. I agree and disagree. Oldham may not be a lock to even get out of their district this year. Brackets have something to do with it, but Shelby County right now has the tools and finally a group that is unselfish and ready to play.
  6. Penney isn't tough to defend in terms of winning against Anderson. He takes the majority of the shots for Anderson and will get his average of points. Around 95% of his points come from around the bucket or getting a pass on the break. He is a decent athlete and rebounder. Minnis can score in a multitude of ways, from the arc, drive, and out on the break. Quickness is a huge asset. Shelby has more scorers and Minnis still gets his points. Shelby is undefeated. Anderson just dropped two game in the KOB. Minnis does not get the press, but is a gamer more than Penney at this point. And that's not taking anything away from Penney either.
  7. I figured as much. You'll find out more January 4th when they meet.
  8. Yes. Have you seen Minnis of Shelby County. He went nuts on Eastern High. He also set it off the other night with 28 or 30. Penny is a 6-4 power forward that must score in close. Minnis can get it done in a variety of ways.
  9. Shelby County is the top team in the region and they have the top player in Minnis.
  10. Hopson was extremely effective in the King of the Bluegrass. His height and explosiveness made driving the lane against UHA very dangerous.
  11. First, your avatar kills me. Wow. Second, a win is a win and a loss is a loss any way you shake it. The state title is up for grabs. There are a lot of teams that can come out on top.
  12. Single overtime. 4th quarter ended 100 to 100.
  13. Final. Manual finishes 3rd in King of the Bluegrass.
  14. No feed for the game. But I did find a news report showing Rose Hill and Manual in a highlight. Shows Euton making a nice move to the hole for a score. Go to the video and hit play from this link http://www.wave3.com/Global/category.asp?C=1181&nav=menu31_4
  15. With Euton out for a spell in the 2nd half, who else was going to take the shots beside Jackson? Tough to make up for 9 turnovers Jackson had with many of those resulting in points for Manual. Rose Hill played hard and they will get better as time goes on. Fairdale is another tough team with quickness.
  16. Highly doubt their gate will hurt. It was packed yesterday and will be packed tonight with a sellout. Rose Hill, UHA, Madison Central, and Manual all feature players that are considered tops in the state and all with D1 players and some UK and UL flavor and they are back to back at 7:30 and 9pm. Then you have sensation Noel Johnson at 4:30pm and Male vs Fairdale with both of those teams playing extremely well and Fairdale has some top youth talent.
  17. You are correct. The coach did play at Woodford. Fayette is legit. Noel Johnson without a doubt is a top 10 player nationwide in the '09 class. Fayette is the favors to win the KOB and they have a PG that looks and plays like Jameer Nelson. Johnson will be making a visit to UL tomorrow.
  18. Euton to line and goes 1 for 2 for 54 to 51 game. OC tries last shot from half court, no good. 54 to 51. Game over.
  19. 2 Euton FTs, 2 Dunlap FTs, OC 3, OC missed for the tie. Jackson at line with with 27 secs left. Makes bothe FTS. 51 to 47. OC 2 more. 51 to 49. Time out.
  20. Jackson for 2 and fouled converts FT, Turnover OC, RH with ball up 5, 47 to 42. Time out RH.
  21. Euton hits 2 FTs, OC tip in, Jackson 2 FTS, RH up 2 with 2.41 to go.
  22. Overtime. Rose Hill last shot try, but Jackson turns it over. OC tries a running 5 footer rims out.
  23. Agreed and the crowds and excitement surrounding the event tops it off.
