Wow, what a difference from the first match up in the LIT. Did not know if Manual had some players missing or if DeSales were hitting all there shots. Seems Mullaney had a stellar game with a high score of I believe I read 27 points in the paper. I am really surprised DeSales is not ranked higher than they are currently. Maybe this win will move them up in the polls. If they win the Region, this will be two sports to do so, football and basketball. I think the basketball program have bumped it up a notch.

Where is OYPreps with all of the Details?

Missing players. Freshman Kimbro was dressed but did not play. He has not played the last two games. This was a 9 point game going into the 4th quarter. Manual is not the same when he is not on the floor.

Manual missed its first 18 shots of the 4th quarter. The game looked a lot like the West Virginia vs Cincinnati game last night. If you shoot 20% for the game it is going to be ugly. Give DeSales credit they came focused and ready to play.

 

Manual will be OK. Coach Just will find away to right the ship, and they still will be a contender to win the region.

 

The Colts student section is one of the best I've seen, but they need to learn to win with class. No need to be rude to their opponents after the game.

When you miss a tall player in Kimbro it forces you to adjust your entire line-up and takes the guards and makes them POWER FORWARDS AND CENTERS instead of playing their natural positions. Manual adjusted to a entirely new system with a 3rd coach. Then adjusted to a defecting starter after two games. Then Kimbro is out for a few games after winning the LIT. Manual does not have a deep bench even with Kimbro playing is especially thin at the 4 and 5 spots. It makes a difference when you are playing 7 or 8 TOP 20 teams in 10 games.

Great call. Missing a 6-5 player and only having one other player over 6-0 in the line-up makes a difference when you only rotate about 7 or 8 deep. Manual having to use a 2 guard at times to defend a 6-7 post player and giving up height at every position but 1 is the difference.

Good point OYPreps. There are no Portland Christian, Whitfield Acad, KCD, St. Francis, Evangel, Brown, on Manual's schedule. They've played in the Defender of the Station, KOB, and the LIT tournament. They will definitely be tournament ready as far as competition goes. I mean no disrespect to those teams I mentioned.
