Made it down to watch the game but didnt get there until halfway through the 1st quarter. Shelby seemed to want this game a little more than SK up until the 4th when SK made a run but just fell short. Overall this was an ugly game to watch which favors Shelby and the result shows this. Hester isnt near 100% right now. This was my first chance to seem him back and the rust shows big time. He was even limping late in the game which is sort of scary for the Pioneers. Hopefully this is just soreness and nothing more. Elbert seemed to be the only one who really played as hard as he could in this game and thats unacceptable for the Pioneers. Im sure Steiner let this be known soon after this game. #24 did do a good job of denying Hester the ball and playing good D on him all game but if Mike is 100% ( which he should be come tourny time ) that will be alot tougher to do. Hurd and Kohrs have to hit the boards alot harder if these two teams match up in the regionals. Layne not being there also hurt SK alot he can score and with his size at guard can help out on the glass. Having said all that, Shelby deserved to win this game but I still think things will be different at Henry Co. The only good news for SK is as bad as they played they still only lost by 4 at Shelby.

It is a little surprising to me and im sure it's a little surprising to the Bulldog fans. From what I heard from the Bulldog faithful was that NKY should be worried now that Holmes is at full strength. Their last 2 wins havent really been that impressive and they still are struggling with putting up points.

Sure I have. I also took into account that maybe SK's players might have improved since and Scott's 2nd best player is out.

They should always be put on opposite ends of the brackets. So should the 11th and 7th but for obviously different reasons

Bottom line is that SK won by 2 earlier this year on a last second shot. SK played bad that game. ( Really bad at times ) Hester had alot of bad turnovers, 6ft 8in Josh Hurd ( who Scott has no one who should stop him ) had an off night and SK shot the ball really bad that night. Scott on the other hand played a great game that night. Hit some big threes and played some tenacious D. But they still lost at home. If SK plays great, no matter how Scott does, they win by at least 15 at home.

To me, just because you play for a worse team doesnt make you better.

Hester was runner-up to Slaughter last year, so I dont think that the coaches dont know of them.

You can make the same argument for Hester with that statement. Put Mike on a team like Owen Co and the kid would put up huge numbers. ( especially against Owen Co's schedule ) As for POY, Josh Hurd should get this.

I think SK is a better team all around. I know thw 2 point victory earlier this year will be thrown in my face but it doesnt change the way I feel. If Hurd has a good game SK will win by at least 10 and I believe he will. Hester, Elbert, Hurd, Kohrs and Parrot go out in style with a big win in this rivalry. SK 75 Scott 60

Parody? Not too much. SK hasnt lost a regional game this year and just beat Oldham Co without Hester. SK is the clear favorite.

It will be interesting to see how Coach Steiner brings Mike along. SK should beat Ryle with or without Mike and then Friday SK travels down to Shelby Co to take on the Rockets. I hope he is 100% and ready to come back and play as hard as we know the kid can.

I just got word that Mike Hester will be back in the lineup tonight in the SK vs. Ryle game. Good News for Mike and the Neers.

CovCath 72 Scott 58 CovCath plays 4 quarters like no one else. Non-stop in your face defense and smart with the ball on offense. This will wear on the Eagles in the second half.

That recruiter needs to be fired than. That's a large stretch. Those kids are talented but no size. That seems to be the biggest problem with the talent in this state. A lot of talent but not enough size and that seems to be the first thing that college recruiters and scouts all over look at first.

There is a line that can be crossed when it comes to running. Especially in a sport like football. When your dealing with scorching heat and humidity along with all the equipment. That could become dangerous if you dont keep your cool as a coach.
