I just found out that he will be out for some time. He will have surgery sometime this week and be out for a month. Bad news for the kid and SK but they should have him back in time for touranment play.

They way I see it is the further you get from Louisville and Lexington the more fouls are called.

I keep hearing different stories about what's going on with his foot. I've heard that he will only miss the rest of this tourny and will be back and ready to play once SK gets home. I also heard that he might possibly need surgery and be out for a month or more. Anyone know or heard anything about him?

Of course not. Im just saying that they are starting to stress the palming call this year and thats fine but when a kid is walking the ball up the floor and no one is within twenty feet of him and the ref calls a palming violation, I think its a little too much. Its the same as if a ref doesnt call the game as tight as they were in the beginning of the game once a team is down by like 20 with a minute to play. They tend to let some things go just to get the game over and not prolong the beating.

One thing that has bothered me this year as well and I know alot of you might disagree with me but ever since the college game started paying closer attention to palming the ball the high school refs have done the same. And I think a little too far. It's one thing to call a palming violation on a kid who is being guarded and uses the palming to gain an advantage on his opponent but it just seems like a little too much to call it on a PG who is bringing the ball up the floor with no one on him. This is a classic case of power tripping to me. I know its a violation but come on. I dont think they had that kind of senseless call in mind when they came up with the rule. You dont see them call that in college. They have called it alot more though when the player is being guarded and I dont mind that at all. But I have seen a bunch of games this year at the high school level when the ref should have just let that go.

There is nothing worse than going to a game and seeing an official try to take the game over. I've been to my fair share of games in my life and nothing bothers me more than to see a ref that likes the spotlight. I could never understand how a ref out by the half court line can call a charge or a blocking foul that occurs underneath the basket and meanwhile the ref who is right there on the baseline calls nothing. That is ridiculous. It's also very hard for the kids in the game when you are dealing with two refs that call the game in totally different ways. It has to be frustrating when one ref lets you play and the other calls everything with contact. I do think for the most part refs at the high school level are out there giving it their all and trying their best to call a fair game. But there are some bad ones out there and if fans get upset either here or at the game shouldnt be a problem as long as it doesnt go too far. I think they understood going into this decision to ref that they were going to be open for criticism.

Holmes doesnt have a bench. They usually play 6 maybe 7 guys at the most.

Thats a low score. That doesnt seem good for SK. Need to pick up the scoring in the second half.

If he is who i think he is i dont know how much of a help or distraction he will be. Holmes should be carefull not to full around with the chemistry ive been hearing so much about this year.

I dont understand why everyone is so big on Mason Co. either. They are a good team but lets not get carried away. They havent beaten anyone besides June Buchanan thats worth mentioning. ( and that was by 2 ) I dont think they are the second best team in the state, I dont even think they are the second best team in the Fifth Third.

I still cant believe this score. I still think Tates Creek has the better team just not on this night.

Hill, Henderson, Jefferson, Jacobs, Bovard, Lenhoff, his teammate Ryan, Bray and Simpson are all better than Sorrell. There is nothing explosive about Corey's game. He is a good shooter and a decent rebounder for a guard. As for defense I dont believe he could do a good job of guarding any of the before mentioned players.

Uneducated? I can look at their schedule just as you can. There are three teams maybe four that I would say are quality. Shelby, Oldham, S. Oldham and maybe Dixie Heights. So please tell me your educated opinion...

Tates Creek just beat another quality opponent last night. Madison Central. Add them to the list of E-Town, UHA, Lafayette and Lex Cath that TC has beaten so far. I dont care who ranks them like that. One team already has a 21pt loss ( Ballard ) and the other is undefeated with big time wins. Argue that.
