  1. Im pretty sure at the end of the year the 9th region player of the year was Austin Hill. And I believe Vories name was on that list below him.
  2. Lou. St X had their chance a couple years ago at Paul Brown against Moeller and they got handled. This by a Moeller team who was considered in a down period and I believe the third best team in their conference that year.
  3. All im saying is Kramer is obviously your best playmaker. Fine they are keying on him but you still have to find ways to get him the ball. He can catch cant he? Line him up at wideout or run more screens for him. Most of the plays I seen him touch the ball was on the shotgun QB option plays. Mix it up sure but make sure your number 1 guy gets his chances.
  4. I was basically only reffering to the GCL ( South ? ) not sure of the south. The one that is made up of Elder, St X, Moeller and Lasalle.
  5. I think Austin Hill lastyears POY might have something to say about that.
  6. Will a Nky team ever beat a GCL school again? They have been getting plenty of chances here latley.
  7. I saw the game on tv and didnt keep count but its hard to believe that Flynn made 17 tackles. ( someone must be generous ) Does anyone else think that Kramer was little under-used in this game? The first half in paticular.
  8. Austin might be the best player but Duran means more to the Holmes team. He's their primary ballhandler, primary playmaker, the best part of their press, the key to their fastbreaks and you cant forget about his ability to rebound. With him out and Avery in your missing out on 5 or 6 rebs a game. Do you know how many easy baskets that Hill, Rice and Henderson get because of Duran? Not having that might make it really frustrating for these guys when they have to work for everyone of their points.
  9. It is his growth plate and from what I hear he has been dealing with this for years. It kind of flares up on him from time to time. Word is that he is just taking some time off from practice and should be ready to go in a couple weeks. I havent heard anything about surgery.
  10. Why is that weird? I dont have any close ties to Mike himself but I have been following SK since I moved back up here. And I have a few close ties to the team but not Mike in paticular.
  11. Who Mike himself? I dont think so. Trust me he will not miss anytime.
  12. From what I heard it's not that serious and he should be ready to go for their opener.
  13. I know Duran and anyone else on here that does knows that he will give everything he has to get back as soon as he can. I know he's a D-1 football player but I believe he loves playing basketball more. Hopefully he gets back at least by districts. That's the one thing about highschool ball is you arent out of it no matter what happens during the regular season. If he does get back in time for the postseason I think they still have a great chance to get to Rupp. The great thing about it is these kids have played with eachother for so long that there really wont be anytime they have to spend getting used to him being back.
  14. Im guessing it will be the Avery kid but he is no where near as good as Duran. Duran is the general of that team on defense and offense. This is a huge hit for the Bulldogs.
  15. Most bones outside the leg maybe. Usually when someone breaks their leg ( still unsure about what bone ) especially an athlete they take a little longer than 4 weeks.
  16. I seen him play over the summer at the KBA. ( granted only once ) but he seemed like your typical athlete without a whole lot of skill. He's a good athlete but needs to develop his game quite a bit.
  17. Drew Mcdavid is a very good basketball player. Very well rounded, probably even more well rounded than VanHoose but I think Jonathan's size and his shot is what intrigues everyone. Drew should get more pub than he does. He's a joy to watch play.
  18. World Class might be a little much but the dude is quick and is a very good player no doubt.
  19. Must not be that bad of a break to only be out 4 to 6 weeks. Does anybody have anymore details on this?
  20. I never guarded these kids but more recently three names really jump out when I think of quickness. Duran Jefferson - Holmes Doug Beaumont - Male Mike Hester - Simon Kenton These three can get from one end of the floor to the other in a flash. ( with or without the ball )
  21. So no one has a really good reason why Duncan is on this list? I have never seen him play and im sorry but I've never heard this kids name until now. How good could he possibly be. It really is amazing how alot of the times it comes down to who you know.
  22. He is a good ball player but not enough to get this much talk about him. He will have a nice career at Newport since they dont have much but nothing special.
  23. This is not a knock on Duran at all but I never really seen him going to college for football. I know he has already commited to UK but his body type never seemed to be a good match for that sport. I always thought he would wind up playing basketball somewhere maybe even D-1. He's one heck of a player on the court. Like I said though no knock on him at all and I hope he has a quick and succesfull recovery. Just always thought something like this might happen to him before long. ( doesnt seem to have a whole lot of meat on those bones )
  24. What is it that you have against Nky players? You are from this area right? And you dont at least have Austin Hill in your second tier?
