A source told me that Jefferson broke his leg in the football game Friday night against Boone County.

That stinks, but sounds like he should be back for the hoops season. Hopefully there won't be any lingering effects that sometimes occur with leg injuries in basketball. Best of luck to Duran in his senior season!!

Agreed. But its probably the best case scenario when you're talking about bone breaks.

I agree Cshs, best case scenario in this case, hopefully he's back before they start playing for district seeding.

This is not a knock on Duran at all but I never really seen him going to college for football. I know he has already commited to UK but his body type never seemed to be a good match for that sport. I always thought he would wind up playing basketball somewhere maybe even D-1. He's one heck of a player on the court. Like I said though no knock on him at all and I hope he has a quick and succesfull recovery. Just always thought something like this might happen to him before long. ( doesnt seem to have a whole lot of meat on those bones )

Trust me he will bulk up before he steps on the field, He is not much smaller that Brandent Engleman was his senior year and he is now chissiled. He has plenty of time to gain weight and mucle he will probably red shirt any way.

Tough injury for Duran and bad news, but he'll be back before hoop season, if not into the second week so everything should be alright.
