The 4 to 6 weeks is speculation. There is always a chance it could be worse than initially thought.

Must not be that bad of a break to only be out 4 to 6 weeks. Does anybody have anymore details on this?

Most bones outside the leg maybe. Usually when someone breaks their leg ( still unsure about what bone ) especially an athlete they take a little longer than 4 weeks.

Will this have any issue on his UK scholarship? He hasn't inked the deal yet?

I don't know where the 4-6 weeks game from, but that isn't close. According to this article, he can't play basketball for at least 12. There's a good chance he'll miss the entire season.

The 4 to 6 was the initial thinking. After the x-rays, it was then deemed necessary to have surgery. I gave a hint that it was most likely going to be longer:

It will be interesting to see what UK does. With the potential of a new staff for football and limited scholarships , nothing is guaranteed.

 

This is a shame. Holmes is still very talented and will be tough to beat but anytime a senior has to sit out the majority, if not all, of his season, its nothing other than a shame.

This really stinks... as Duran is the fuel that makes the Bulldogs so effective. With his penetration ability he almost always finds the open man...namely Austin Hill. Who will step up and run the point wiht Duran out?

Im guessing it will be the Avery kid but he is no where near as good as Duran. Duran is the general of that team on defense and offense. This is a huge hit for the Bulldogs.

Sad news out of Covington. Football and Basketball star Duran Jefferson is out until at least Jan. with a broken leg. I hate to see this he's fun to watch.
