Arkansas Brewer?

Featured Replies

What school is he at?

I've heard Newport and Southern to name a few.

Back at Newport.

I heard he never made it to Louisville. Watch a few games last year and the kid has some talent. Now he needs to work at it harder to improve the talent.

He lived in Louisville for quite a bit this summer and attended alot of Southern's practices but the first week Newport was in school Ark began attending practices.

I've seeen the kid play numerous times since he was in 6th grade and I don't understand the hype. He's not that good.

Define "not that good"? not as good as you...? Not as good as Michael Jordan? Not as good as.....????

The purpose of this thread I don't think was to say that a 9th grade kid is not that good.

Completely disagree

Well, if you were playing varsity ball as a freshman your going to have some upside. The rest is left up to development, working hard, and academics.

Isn't it strange he is "Arkansas Brewer" and Arkansas had a star player with the last name Brewer? Hah!

That definitely is an NBA name.... lets hope he can back up the name with some great play in the next few years.

Does that matter really? How many kids playing Varsity basketball do you think are grade exceptions? A TON !!!! This is where the advantage comes into play when you get held back as a youngster. It doesnt help when you are dominating the youth leagues with a grown mustache as a 6th grader....it helps when you are a Frosh and mature as a sophomore and can hoop with the big boys.

I would love to look at the top 10 players in the state and know when their birthdays are and how old they are..... that extra year of physical maturity means a lot.

He's not that good, as in he's not close to one of the best players in his own class in NKY.

He is a good ball player but not enough to get this much talk about him. He will have a nice career at Newport since they dont have much but nothing special.
