Solid win for the Dawgs.

Big win for the Dawgs, Did Duran play, if so how did he due.

I am curious to see if Jefferson played as well. Did he have something to turn in.."due"?

 

Looks like the Dawgs are rounding back into form...I saw them play the hometown Eagles, 2 weeks ago with their young pups, and those kids acquitted themselves well.

Pretty interesting game. The Bulldogs worked their depth tonight. They looked pretty sharp and contolled. DJ got a lot of playing time and made some awesome assists to Rice down low and stroked a nice 3. Rice and Henderson had some sweet dunks and both displayed some nice outside shooting. Hill got some much needed rest tonight but contributed nicely as he always does. I really like Clarks game. He's a big plus in the dawgs arsenal. Nice leaps, sure handed and dependable. Remarkalby, the Colonels would never go away. They played the Dawgs an even 2nd half. Half time score was 32-24, final was 62-54. They kept it interesting by pulling witin 3 early in the 3rd quarter. I think Holmes got the lead to as much as 10 or 12 a couple of times but it teeter-tottered back and forth from 5 to 10 numerous times. Dixie showed alot of guts tonight by never rolling over. They worked the ball well and played scrappy, dive for every ball, play. Hit some nice 3's and outfoxed the Dawgs close to the basket many times. I don't know the players names for Dixie but I think one is 'Andre the Giant'. He's a beast and I'd love to see how he developes as time goes by. The Colonels got it to a 2 possession game at the 1:43 mark, but couldn't quite close the gap. All in all I was impressed by both teams at an interesting time in the season when we're watching closely to see whose hitting their strides and thowing their hat in the ring to claim the 9th. If Dixie is only 8 points behind the Dawgs at this jucture the 9th Region looks pretty close except for CovCath who put Scott away pretty handily tonight. It's getting interesting too with Ryle knocking off Boone. As always this Region keeps everyone scratching their heads right to the end. The Regional at Holmes this year is going to be AWESOME!

Luke Mace would be the Giant, didn't play much last season, dropped 40lbs and has put up solid statistics from what I've seen.

I would of liked to see the bulldogs beat a down Dixie team by more, but it seems this game brought a small glimpse of what the Bulldogs can potentially be, they might have the bestAthletes of any team in the state. If this team plays to its Potential they are the favorite to win the ninth and will compete for a state title. But that "P" word is the big thing, so as of right now i still think the region title goes thourgh Park Hills.

We've heard that "P" word and Holmes on this board since this group stepped on the floor as youngsters. It does make for good discussion on BGP though.

I hope your right, but that has been what the people have been saying down and covington since they have been their, and so far it has not been true.

Holmes far and away has the most individual talent in the ninth region. However, to win the region you need talent, but much more--- unselfishness, coachability, understanding of game situations, good coaching, role players. Does Holmes have all this-- we will see in about three weeks!

Surprised that Dixie kept it this close. Holmes has the weapons to play with anyone, especially when Jefferson gets back in shape and back in the swing of things. The "P" word is the key. They have the talent, athleticism, and numbers, now all they need is chemistry and to play smart and they will be hard to stop.
