Add Hesch from Newport to the list

The top runningbacks returning next year will be Scott Gray of Ryle and Micheal Vicars of NCC.

Who is representing the 9th...Ryle?

Matt Atkins from Newport participated last year as a Junior hopefully he gets invited again to play one more high school game before heading to Kentucky Weslyan.

No Sneed, Lockard, or Klei this is absolutely horrible these 3 players are top caliber from the 9th.

Good to see Donna Murphy and Jamie Walz getting honored in the Legends 2006.

There is also a slow pitch softball all star game Thursday June 8th at Huddy Park.

I've heard Campbell County will be attending a team camp at Morehead but Notre Dame will indeed be at the EKU team camp at same time as Bellevue

I'm pretty sure all four of those teams were down there last year

Alot of NKY teams attend that same EKU camp every year such as NDA, Campbell County, Conner, and Boone County.

I recall last year Newport playing at Beechwood in the regionals it was so small and no place to sit

NCC won 14-1

Actually two regions had 4 teams and two regions had 5 teams it was a total of 18 teams. There were 20 teams in last years regionals because of Covington Latin and NCC. Covington Latin wasnt eligible for the state oturnament because they didn't field a fast pitch team for atleast 10 games and as we all know NCC converted totally to fast pitch.

The Indians of Holy Cross pretty much dominated the entire tournament. However in the second round they faced a very good Lloyd team and edged past them 5-3. The Scott Eagles led by Graham came out of the losers bracket by coming back from a 12-3 deficit and winning the game in the last inning. Holy Cross then trounced Scott in the championship game to win state for the second year in a row. Congrats to all the young ladies who participated in this fine event and thanks to khsaa for having such a smooth running tournament where each game was announced.

what about newport's donna murphy?

Holy Cross is a very fundamentally sound team with the best player Dorning in the region. Trouble for Lloyd is they'll most likely face Holy Cross in the second round and will have to come out of the losers bracket. I'm guessing Scott will be in the finals with Holy Cross and the Indians will repeat as state champions.

I know Newport and Lloyd scheduled their 10 mandatory fast pitch games within the first week of the season and had a tournament at Kenton Lakes that same Saturday. It took the first couple games to make the transition but everybody should be fine by now with regionals and state within the next two weeks.

Tigers upset the Wildcats the score was pretty bad around 11-1

what is going on with this Newport squad I know the talent is there in Hesch, Atkins, etc.?
