Willie's teams up at Highlands sure do get the job done on defense

Lloyd is just too small and inexperienced so Simon Kenton will roll in that game.

He was up here so often he just decided to go back to Newport where all his buddies are instead of going to a whole new school. Great to hear he's practicing with the Cats.

He said he's going back to Newport but I guess we'll find out for sure when classes start Thursday.

Ark is 15

Newport is going to have a slow start after losing several skill players from last year and not to mention the soft line. I don't see the Wildcats killing you with the long ball but if they can put together some first downs with Wilfong running the ball the passing game will open up. Which receiver will step up is a question mark right now but I look for Newport to handle Western easily.

He frequents Newport often to hang out with friends on the weekend but he will be attending Louisville Southern.

Someone else I left off the list would be Josh Conner of Highlands. He attended Newport until the end of 7th grade they wouldn't let him repeat so he left for St Therese.

I understand Southgate doesn't have a high school it doesn't take a genius to figure that one out. From my understanding he is the same age as my nephew and has played knothole baseball with him since they were in t-ball. My nephew will be a sophomore at Newport and he is in the correct grade. I have more info on the situation with the Alfords but it wouldn't be appropriate to post publicly on here.

Isn't Alford supposed to be a sophomore anyways?

When your siblings attend Newport schools and your brother recently graduates from Newport High School it raises a few red flags in my book.

False, he comes up to Newport quite often to visit old friends but he will be attending Southern. Yes off the top of my head it would be Heath White (Taft), Derek Posey (NCC), Danny Schwalbach (NCC), Ben Koester (HHS), Arkansas Brewer (Southern)

How about Vicars from Newcath he had an outstanding year last year and people up on the hill are expecting alot out of this young man come season start.

The Wildcats have an inconsistent offensive line that doesn't block very well for JJ the recievers are all inexperienced hopefully they come around by the end of the season. Other than that they have Wilfong at RB who should be a great back as long as he is healthy. JJ Hesch is a third year starter and his numbers prove he is one the top QB's in Northern Kentucky. The Wildcats will be in contention by seasons end and hopefully have a great run like last years postseason.

The QB for NCC is #14 Jarred Harris and the RB for NCC is #7 Michael Vicars.

Newport will be just fine without Ark they have a very talented player in Brandon Tucker who should excel on the freshman level and possibly move up to varsity. They also have some fine players in Casey McDaniels and Cody Collins.

Ark was born and bred a Newport Wildcat but now he'll be heading to Louisville Southern. As i've stated on here previously it will be a much better situation for Ark personally so why must everyone jump him for improving his situation.

Not to sure on how Newport's freshman team will fare out but they have an excellent running back in Brandon Tucker who should make some noise on freshman level this year.

Let me make a correction to my earlier post Jimmy Roberts will do the XP's and Johnny Holbrook will do the kickoffs for Newport. While Junior Ryne Wilfong will take care of the punting duties for the Wildcats.
