Even though parents say some really ridiculous things (not all are), I think their concern should be commended. Some parents and fans have really intelligent things to advise. I would think that it should be ran like a democracy to where if you want to recommend something, the coach should be obliged to listen even if it is ridiculous. The head coach should be thankful for the concern. No one thinks this is part of being a fan? I think its my duty to say anything on my mind about my team. Is it bad to think this way? Some of the things said on this thread are hilarious...picking starters out of a hat? That's ridiculous!

A-Town desperately needs a signature win going into a rival game at district.

I'm definitely not counting them out! They have won three straight games and sounds like they are coming around at the right time.

Sounds like the Lady Bears are staying hot and coming around at the right time. Not to jinx but, I just got a whiff of something...smells like an upset in the making. Bracken played them tough last year in the district and many of those players have returned including their point guard who had an outstanding game in last year's district loss. Mason, going into district against a theoretical weaker team, needs battle tested since they seem to struggle against the 10th region queen, Montgomery. But, a losing streak is just not good for the psyche. Going into any game on a win streak at the high school level is a gigantic plus. It sends confidence throughout the locker room. This is a great question.

I hate to say it but I don't see that happening very soon. When was the last time A-Town had a win against the cross-county rival?

What a girls' basketball dynasty, that family. Connie was a star at A-Town and Morehead State. Carrie was a great player for Augusta. Emily was a coach at Augusta and very intense third grade teacher at Saint Augustine, I might add. Hannah (Jefferson), daughter of Carrie's, was very tough for Bracken and doing well at Cumberland. Looks like her sister Brittany is doing well and has a bright future at Bracken as well. This family eats, sleeps and breathes basketball. The boys Tom and Steve are well known in tenth region basketball as well. Any other great roundball families you can think of around your area?...I guess this could be another thread.

Coach Kelsch is a master-mind and Bracken is lucky to have such a talented and knowledgable coach. Great job Coach Kelsch!

What exactly, do you think, they are made of? I haven't seen many Lady Panthers games this season. Care to elaborate on the growing pains this season? I thought we had some juniors and seniors from last years' district runner-up. Good luck tonight anyway.

They played both. The two-three was played in the first half when Bracken went on an opening 8-0 run.

What about Chris Owens?

This is a no-brainer. I'd much rather play at Rupp. It's Rupp Arena!

That was because of the poor excuse of a two-three zone Augusta was playing. They didn't find anyone to block out. Every player stood there hoping the ball would come off the rim right to them. Poor execution. I like the two-three but when you chase Hall up and down the court out of the two-three your giving up penetration and isn't that playing to Hall's advantage? He's the best penetrator in the district. Didn't Augusta lose to them using this gameplan last time? I guess Augusta thought the Bears got lucky last time, because they didn't change a thing in their gameplan. Coach Fite knew what was coming and had his players ready for it. He had four guys crashing the offensive glass the entire game.

Chris Mofford from Augusta will be a dominant force next season. He will only get better as time goes on playing throughout the summers in A-Town. I also see the King twins from Deming getting much better this offseason. Right now, I have to give the all "a" to Brossart until someone convinces me not to. I don't care who they have. Their defensive scheme is almost unbeatable among class a schools. St. Patrick may surprise us next year. Owens will by far be the best player in the tournament.
